Kendall Langford signs one-year deal with Saints
Posted by Curtis Crabtree on September 20, 2017, 11:30 PM EDT
After being released by the Indianapolis Colts in August following a failed physical, defensive tackle Kendall Langford has a new team in the New Orleans Saints. According to Jim Trotter of ESPN.com, Langford signed a one-year deal with the Saints on Wednesday. Langford confirmed the deal on his Twitter account. Langford appeared in seven games for the Colts last season before he landed on injured reserve due to a knee injury. He had surgery this offseason in an attempt to correct the issue. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list for the start of training camp only to be released in early August. Langford worked out for the San Francisco 49ers last week as well before signing with the Saints. He’s the third addition to the Saints active roster along the defensive line on Wednesday. Darryl Tapp was re-signed and David Parry was promoted from the practice squad. Kendall Langford signs one-year deal with Saints – ProFootballTalk |

Re: Kendall Langford signs one-year deal with Saints
He is a solid run stopper if healthy but has had knee issues the past few years.
Saints #1 issue is stopping the run between the tackles. Second is getting rookies to set a hard edge on the outside. SLB is second. Luke to MLB by 2018 please. A bigger, faster SS with solid coverage skills is Third. CB is always in need. Stopping the run between the tackles is always first |

I REALLY liked the way McDaniel played in the preseason. And Muhammad. McDaniel gets cut. Muhammad can't get a rep on defense. ???????

But I'm with you. It would be nice to see what he can do. What will it hurt? This defense needs a spark, and it must start on Sunday. |

Bad Sean and D.A. need to play all the rookies now, take the lumps, for the run mid-season... |

Mitchell Loewen produced against 3rd stringers, yet he's getting a chance in the rotation. Al Quadin should be getting a chance.

1 (one) question: Have we signed ANY veteran help at cornerback??
At this point even a corner from the Canadian Football League would give some hope. |

What's our excuse? Would it really hurt to see what Muhammad can do for a series or two? Surely he isn't any worse that what we've already seen after two games. A wise man once said .."do you know what the difference between a 1st and 6th rounder? An opportunity". Just give him a chance is all I ask. |

That being said I think our run defense has been very good this season. It's a shame it doesn't matter because a pass against our defense automatic loss. Teams don't really need to even try and beat us on the ground. |

Vaccaro & Devante Harris were bad in pre season and are equally bad after two games. Keep Kenny away from deep/middle coverage. Game #3, develop a consistent pass rush and run game. Defensive stops on 3rd and long is critical. Have Newton eat lots of grass so that we won't have to see that ridiculous Superman pose or stupid basketball shot gesture after running for a big gain or TD. Play competitive football. Again, a Muhammad sighting won't hurt this defense. |

So much Negativity!!
Say it like this: "I'm POSITIVE the Saints defense is terrible!" "I'm POSITIVE Sean Payton will not win more games than he loses!" "I'm POSITIVE.......(Fill in the blank)....!" See how that makes it better? CHUMPIANSHIP!!!!! |
