Kendall Langford has a short stay with the Saints

Three days ago, the Saints added veteran defensive tackle Kendall Langford. On Saturday, the Saints cut him.

Langford’s contract has been terminated, along with veteran defensive end Darryl Tapp.

The roster spots were filled via the elevation of a pair of defensive backs from the team’s practice squad: Justin Hardee and Arthur Maulet.

Tapp had been cut by the Saints on September 3. He was re-signed on Wednesday. Kendall Langford has a short stay with the Saints – ProFootballTalk

Whelp..that was quick. Is it me or does things like this make us look like we don't know wtf we doing? I rarely see things like this from other teams.

Seriously! What's the point of signing and cutting someone after just a few days.

Sean gets a bonus if he is above a certain amount

It's probably because you don't follow other teams. This is pretty much standard operating procedure at this point of the season. There are numerous roster moves going on across the league.

First of all, welcome to B&G. Secondly, this is common procedure during the season when dealing with injuries. Teams are constantly maneuvering to make room for possible short term replacements. Look at it as an accounting concept. LIFO (last in first out). The last added asset is the first to go if another asset is required.

I have been following dead money and we have been winning that battle two years straight.

But seriously it is in Sean's contract

These move don't involve any dead money. None of these contracts are guaranteed. You do realize that, right?

Of course, but you were saying about following other teams moves and I was just saying I kept an eye on dead money and we have been the league leaders two years running. Meaning how we measure up against other teams even if I don't watch their waiver wire additions/subtractions. Sean is going to hit his bonus by October though

The subject was the adding and immediate dropping of a player. That's what I was addressing. That is common place in the NFL. What ever you are taking about is your own personal agenda and mean nothing to me.

By the way, you are approaching your bonus already.

Umm, I do follow other teams. You think I just sweep through and ignore all articles on PFT, just looking for Saints articles? I never said it don't happen on other teams, it happens a lot more here. That was all.

What I'm saying is it happens just as often on other teams experiencing injuries. We are aren't anymore involved in transactions than several other franchises.

Oh what you mean is I completely destroyed your argument while simultaneously forcing you to view stupid **** this Sean/Loomis team have done. I hope it was as good for you as it was for me

I can't imagine being one of these fringe veteran players like Langford. It's gotta be nerve racking. Like being stood up on date after date.

Besides, we keep up the hire-fire trend and we won't have any dead money problems/team soon.
