Don't think Sports World and Sports Media really get it yet - Irregardless of your political position on issues in this country, people gravitate to sport to escape the negativity of politics...
Media Executives and Editors have hijacked their platform as ideologues advancing their political agendas and have gotten away with it without little or no accountability, until now... Even a MSN poll can't hide that a majority in this country agree with President Trump and feel the method of NFL players are using is wrong and players should be accountable... Try as the Media Moguls want, their minutiae, noise is having little effect and their abused power is beginning to unravel as a majority of Americans simply are tired of politics in their sport... |

They (the upstanding citizens of professional sports) have finally stumbled upon the topic that can actually kill the sports. Drugs, DWI's, beating wives and kids, even murder have been looked past, but disrespect to those who have given all (intended or not) is the final straw. They will have to go into damage control now.

Like Neugey said, where's the NHL? NASCAR? Pro Rodeo Folks? Seems very, very narrow sighted. Is the Sporting world truly united? Or just the ones truly worrried about loss of viewership, i.e. Lost revenue. Honestly, didn't read article, hate the politics in sports......

The Kaepernick protests have BEEN divisive since he started, Goodell claiming to be a unified is him spinning more empty rhetoric. He sees the glowing praise and thinks he's doing a good thing, but the praise is coming from the same people that spent years slamming the NFL as being too brutal, allowing domestic violence, and "toxic masculinity" and all that cramp. He's laying in the wrong bed, bout to get it dry.
