Peterson and his agent wants a release so he can pick his spot to start...
No team would give up higher than a conditional 7th round pick for him... There's not many teams, in contention, that'd want him - and that would be your ideal trading partner... If a team, say - Pittsburgh somehow lost LeVeon Bell, then things would change as they'd have to have a cowbell RB... Cardinals just got blown up on the road again and they're falling fast and have a horrible offensive line... If the Ravens were more competitive, then they might feel the need to trade, but the Ravens are smart with picks... Could we get Seattle into another trade? They've got a wealth of front seven guys, especially LBers that can run... Minnesota might take him back on a one year rental? with the division still within reach and a SuperBowl-caliber defense, maybe? Might be too much bad history at this point... Detroit is a team in desperate need of a RB; it'd give their team finally a n honest threat out of the backfield... And then there's the Eagles who are signing practice squad RBs now, but would he fit there?!? |

How could CBS make this fake B.S. story up of the Saints interest in trading AP when, in actuality, WE (B&G) made this fake B.S. story up speculating the Saints would trade A.P. a long, long time ago - probably after the Vikings game??

I was listening to Moving the Chains on NFL Radio Friday and Pat Kirwan was talking about how all of this foolishness about trade talks was misguided. He said the NFL is not the same as Major League Baseball or the NBA. He stressed that with the hard cap in the NFL in season trades are extremely difficult, if not impossible. This was in response to two or three straight callers that kept trying to bring up trade scenarios to save their teams' seasons.
