Why did the 49ers release NaVorro Bowman? - NFL Videos

Can we fit him under our cap?

Cap space is at $960,682... I'm sure we could if we really wanted to, but I don't see it happening.

With Anzalone most likely done for the season, it surely wouldn't hurt to make a quick call to his agent.

Depth is needed and necessary.

Just curious.i dont want him because the knees. Think he can still play but those knees scare me. Too much risk

Bowman is not $12 million dollar worthy, but he can contribute on a team needing LB help. Since the Saints just signed Hodges, and Bowman doesn't want a reserve/rotational role, he won't be coming to New Orleans. If he's not with a team after the season, the Saints absolutely should bring him to camp though.
