Payton could have easily been the Bill Walsh of his generation - but he didn't have a Carmen Policy to check him and no one has done more to defeat Coach Payton than GM Payton and those awful personnel moves and drafts...

Loomis is not a football GM and has no idea about football(much less basketball). He is a bean counter and Payton's yes man and a large reason for our limited success. He is the last piece that needs to be replaced.jmho

But having and keeping Ireland is the difference right now...
