Question about the AP trade

If I heard correctly, the pick we received is a conditional pick? Does that mean that depending on how AP plays, we receive a higher draft pick?

Where is the ceiling on it? Can it turn into a 3rd round if goes over a 1000 yards or something like that?

Could anyone help out with this?

This is all that really needs to be said.

I thought the pick was a 7th with the condition of moving to a 6th... Meaning if he runs well the most we can get is a 6th...

As hilarious as it is I can see what Will is getting at. Put AP in at the beginning of the fourth quarter and let's see if he can still punish defenses. All questions about him would have been answered and we could have spared some wear and tear on the other two. I really hoped we would have gotten a chance to see it by now. Not saying I disagree with the trade, just sayin

I think AP might get his feeling hurt just doing clean up duty.

Ahh okay, thanks for the clarification, let's hope we get as high a pick as possible.

We can trade our newly acquired picks to move up for an injured player......

Re: Question about the AP trade

AP just didn't fit our offense. Good player, but I feel like dual threat RBs are the only ones that work in our system. Take Ingram, he may not be the best receiver out of the backfield to catch passes, but that option is at least there with him(and quite frankly he's gotten a lot better at it). With AP the option isn't there.

This was the rub against Ingram when we drafted him (aside from injury). You could tell what we were or were not going to do by which RB was in (Chris Ivory as well).

AP would not be happy as a decoy, it wouldn't work long anyway, he doesn't catch like Ingram and Kamara (or PT/Sproles/Bush).

Great player in wrong system with too much pride to be a role player and too old to learn new tricks.

Re: Question about the AP trade

In Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, AP has 26 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns in the Cardinals 38-33 win.

So AP found the right fit with the Cards, he helped us with the Bucs.
Happy Trails...... Best Of Luck.........

Cardinals won't get better till they get an offensive line - Bruce Arians is good, but that offensive line is horrible...

AP will always have a special place in New Orleans Saints history.

He had 2 of the Queens 5 fumbles in the 2009 NFC Championship game...

I've got a Peterson jersey/tee that I got from the dome while drunken shopping. I honestly have no idea what to do with it now.

Keep it, it'll probably be a collector's item.

You are bound to run out of toilet paper at some point this season. Keep it folded on the back of the cammode

If it does anything like AP did in his last game, you'll never unplug that thunder box again.... ever.
