The interception was sick. I don't think he saw it coming. And then he took it to the house.

It's all in the hips ;).

Seriously speaking, Marshon is an exceptional talent. Take a look at these ridiculous numbers (open linky). If those aren't elite worthy, it's pretty damn close.

Hell I think he is also lucky...
I think the one pick 6... he came around a WR and the ball hit him in the chest and land in his hands, lol.

And I'd expect his numbers in so far as passes defensed to drop as teams begin to realize the futility of throwing to his side...

just stay healthy, baby!

He doesn't get thrown at much as is...

Best Saints corner ever by far. Dude is for real.

The thing I like about him. So far, when his name/number is called on the field, it's usually for something positive.

I have to agree. He’s the most talented corner I’ve ever seen in black and gold.

Of course you weren't born yet when Dave Whitsell played. ;) Led the league with 10 picks in 1967 and was the first Saints player ever to make the Pro Bowl.

I know we didn't initially draft these guys but Mike McKenzie and Jabari Greer were very good in NO on those boundaries.

Lattimore is already making a mark and will surely surpass them if he stays relatively healthy & keeps grinding.

Re: Saints Trying to Trade Delvin Breaux
Saints best cover corner is Lattimore. Yeah I said it and the guy haven't played a down in the league but I am calling how I see it.

P.J is our number 2 and Crawley is a number 2 in the waiting. I can see them starting Lattimore & P.J. but moving P.J. to the inside and Crawley on the outside in nickel

Have to show my age with Guido, he can be the best since Dave Whitsell; and there was a guy named Waymer who was pretty good on some bad Saints teams...

Re: Saints rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore making plays in all sorts of ways

Waymer couldn't run with these guys. Waymer didn't play too long at corner either if I remember right. Waymer did have great hands and was a solid tackler. I think one year at safety he was possibly up there if not league leader in INTs.

Can you name more than two DB's Waymer played with on those awful teams?

At least this team has a good complement of depth; in my mind, without a doubt, the most we've ever had...

Maybe Gene Atkins-Brett Maxie-Dave Waymer-Toi Cook and, by then, Waymer was done and Cook was useless as teams isolated on him...

Not enough beer in Utah to forget Jason David.

(I really could've ended that sentence after Utah)

We have the trifecta this week;

Cam Jordan - Defensive player of the week
Lattimore - Rookie of the week
Ingram - Clutch performer of the week

I'm told my "Fan of the week" certificate was put in the mail on Monday but it hasn't arrived...

I can’t believe I forgot to mention The GOAT, Jason David, as well as his close runner up, Fred Thomas.

Hey, go easy on Fred Thomas. Everybody remembers the NFC Championship game where he got beaten like a rented mule, but for 3 or 4 seasons before that, he was a shut down corner. The Saints could put him on an island with the other teams best receiver and not have to worry.

I think that is correct.

So Ken Crawley better be heads up from now on. Hope he can continue to man his side of the field as he has done so far. And Kenny Vaccaro can continue manning the slot receiver as well as he has so far.

Throwing his way is going to get close to Deon Sanders stupid. He's going to get better. That's how it was in college, stat wise, better throwing it in the dirt than his way. We also stole him in the draft lol! He should have been a top 5 pick. I could not believe he dropped that far. There are 5 picks above him that are doing next to nothing.

His play sucked but he had heart like a lion and never gave up. A shame the talent wasn't there because the guy had leader written all over him.

With one hand no less. Damn did we still have him that first NFCCG? Seems like decades ago.

Re: Saints rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore making plays in all sorts of ways

Pretty sure Jason David was a zone corner primarily in the nickel package for Indy, that we brought in, put him at CB1 and made him play man coverage with Josh Bullocks and Kevin Kaesviharn at safety......

Jason david wasn't great, but he was victimised often due to other people's shortcomings.

Correct. David's best years were in Dungy's cover two. He was totally misplaced in the Saints' defense.
