First Look: Injuries everywhere for Green Bay Packers team without Aaron Rodgers

Quote:

Three of the Packers' starting five offensive linemen — LT David Bakhtiari (hamstring), RT Bryan Bulaga (concussion) and LG Lane Taylor (knee/ankle) — left the game against the Vikings with injury,

DEFENSE: The Packers secondary has been hit hard by injury. Green Bay opened Sunday's game without starting cornerbacks Kevin King (concussion), Davon House (quadriceps) and safety Morgan Burnett (hamstring), then lost cornerback Quinten Rollins to injured reserve with an Achilles injury.

Better be careful here. Of course Hundley is no Rogers, but I hope this defense doesn't sell GB short. Not to mention, our defense has a habit of making rookie and journeyman QBs look like all-pros. I think the trend is bucked this year, but I'm still nervous.

Very true J. There are no "gimmies" at this level (see Giants vs Broncos). Brees and that offense needs to play error free, clean up special teams, limit the penalties and the defensive goal should be to shut down a inexperienced QB. Hundley is no Rodgers but he's extremely athletic.

I understand there is a good possibility of rain so getting the run game going will be huge. Saints capitalize on GB injuries, limit big plays, win the turnover battle ... chalk up another W and the train keeps chugging along.

Week by week. Have to approach it with the same intensity as any other, if you let it get in your head that Rodgers is out, you'll get toasted.

Source: painful experience.

And their run game has struggled.
I know we had a ton of sacks Sunday, but Stafford held the ball forever and helped us quite a bit.

This guy they've got is mobile.

We better not be reading our own press this week or we can expect a lesson in parity.

But if we show up hungry we shall win.

I predict a lot of screens and quarterback option plays. They will try Crawley on post plays if they can catch him in man

Check out this coverage though, Stafford literally had to hold onto the ball;

All that means is there is no excuse for the Saints to lose!

Everything points to us throwing our helmets out there and winning easily.
Does that scare the crap out of anyone else?

No. Because they aren't going to throw them out there like that. They know they have an opportunity to make a major move. I expect that they will be hitting on all cylinders. Winning is contagious. The fire is lit and will hopefully continue to build.

Don't overlook the fact that this QB we have Taysom Hill spent the entire offseason working with Brett Hundley as Packers backups. Potentially huge source of info about Hundley's strengths/weaknesses.

We were up 40plus-10 against a beat up Bradford and decimated Lions team that was playing their third stringers and still managed to find a way to almost get beat. I don't care about stats, individual performances, or how good the defense or any position group looked, blowing a lead like that is a mark of a team that is not very good. I'm not taking anything for granted against the packers.
