Lambeau

We haven't beaten the Pack at Lambeau in some time; it's a tough place to go into and steal a win...

Discount Double Check may have a broken wing, but this game smells, nay, wreaks trap game...

Know the defense has their gas masks, but these are the games where I worry about us playing down to the competition...

Plus, the television market will be expanded, so we need our best game regardless who's quarterbacking the Pack...

Re: Lambeau

And this doesn't help avoiding the trap...

Yep, that's the KOD as Mike & Mike would say...

Weak secondary, no Rogers and mild weather. Nonsense GB is that favored.

Re: Lambeau

No KOD or trap. The team is healthier than they have been all year and still hungry. They are gaining the confidence to play aggressive. The coaching is gaining the same confidence to play aggressive. I cannot see any chance of letting up. I seriously would not be surprised by another fifty burger this weekend.

Green Bay isn't favored. The Saints are 5.5 point favorites.

Re: Lambeau

The weather won't be a factor.

The Saints historically don't score as much on the road as they do in the Superdome, but they will win by at least 2 TDs.

The Packers have been utterly decimated by injuries though- not just Rodgers.

Re: Lambeau

Green Bay has issues in their secondary which Brees "should" expose.

Our O line "should" provide him plenty of time to carve.

GB's O line isn't healthy so I expect a lot of misdirection, scrambles and short passes.

Run D will be key for us. And containing a very mobile QB.

Saints start fast and this one is done early.

Saints 27 Packers 23

Re: Lambeau

After all my years of watching the Saints there are 2 definite historical trends:

1) If the starting QB of the opposing team goes down in game or if an unknown QB comes in as the starter we will make him look like the second coming of Dan Marino.

2) If our defense backs the opposing team up into their end zone and they have a 3rd and 20+ to go for a first, they will ~ 90% of the time gain 30+ yards.

Saints(3-2) at Packers(4-2)

If you put Aaron Rodgers in this game, you get a narrow Green Bay victory, but he’s not playing in this game and that makes all the difference in the world. The Saints haven't left Lambeau Field with a win since 2006, but the last two games at Green Bay (‘11 & ‘12) both came down to the final play. The Saints can play in Green Bay, and play well, especially without having to face the Packers’ greatest weapon.

Now, Green Bay quarterback Brett Hundley did throw for 236 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Saints in the 2015 preseason finale, but that was a throwaway preseason game against a defense so bad we need no reminder of it. The Saints have shown a tendency to let backups have huge games against them in the past under Sean Payton, but don't expect to see that here. The Saints have been gifted a huge advantage here, they get Green Bay without their superstar and before the bitter winter cold sets in. They’ll make the most of it and leave Lambeau Field with a huge victory in hand. Saints win 31-21.

Pick: Saints
:bng:

This is our past history.....the key word being history. Hopefully, history doesn't repeat itself.

Will be tough game. With Rogers out, the other players will all give it 110%. If we win it will be a huge statement at least to me.

I’m not counting on us starting fast. Just my gut. And yes I feel it’ll be close at the end.

Two of the best quarterbacks of all time dueling it out the entire game. No defense to be seen anywhere. The Saints moved the ball better, 477 yards to 399. But the Packers made the plays when it mattered. Saints were 1-5 in the redzone the Packers were 4-4.

Still one of my favorite games that I've been to even though the Saints lost.

Raining at Lambeau today. It's going to be more important for us to be able to run the ball.

Re: Lambeau

Their QB Brett Hundley is good. He has been part of their system for years. If we overlook this game, we won't win. If we come prepared and take the win like we're supposed to, then it goes a long way to telling the character of this year's team.

SP teams have been famous for overlooking young, unproven QB's and giving up the ghost against teams we're supposed to beat.

Let see.
