Triplett - The Saints will send at least six players to the Pro Bowl after being snubbed last season
Quarterback Drew Brees, running back Mark Ingram, wide receiver Michael Thomas, center Max Unger, defensive end Cameron Jordan, rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore and possibly safety Kenny Vaccaro, among others, could all represent New Orleans in the Pro Bowl. Ingram and Unger will get there because the Saints suddenly have the No. 3 rushing offense in the NFL after Sunday's 298-yard outburst (Ingram is on pace for a career-high 1,195 rushing yards even while splitting time with rookie sensation Alvin Kamara). Thomas surprisingly has only two touchdowns this year -- but those will finally come more often now that the run game has softened up defenses. And Thomas is already on pace for 105 catches and 1,177 yards.

Don't be surprised if Brees doesn't initially make it as he's having a down year...
(That'll be the excuse for slighting him this year) Only thing hurting Thomas is ReTD, and I think that'll open up shortly... Of all our offensive linemen, Peat definitely should earn a spot... Cam has earned it, but he'll have an uphill battle with bigger markets having worthy candidates... Lattimore doesn't make it, then there's 0 credibility to the ProBowl, which should just go IMO... |

Sadly, I've seen enough Saints slighted for post-season honors that I now can accurately predict the excuses by the NFL media syndicate to keep the awards from escaping the favored eight...

As of now it's close. I see Zeke starting for sure but it's close with Gurley and Ingram. There's also Kamara to factor in.

I think there is a built in prejudice against the Saints by the normal fan which will reduce the number of players who will go.
