This 2017 team is different

Pay attention to how close this team is. No jealousy or selfishness from any players on this team. That's why I think it was a good idea to get rid of Adrian Peterson. After Trey Edmunds scored his touchdown, Mark Ingram was in his face, congratulating him, and patting his helmet Etc. The whole team was happy for him. These players are playing for each other, and they are all supporting each other and are genuinely happy for each others' success and accomplishments.

A very good observation. Its rare to see a team like this where guys seem to genuinly like eachother.

Trading Adrian Peterson, a future HOFer, kinda sent a message throughout this locker room...

One minor correction. These players are playing for each other, and a ring.

They seem to recognize that once you retire people really won't care how many receptions or yards or sacks or tackles you had (unless they are HOF numbers) but they will notice that big gold ring.

I also think they see what a real leader Brees is. Who would have imagined a game where Brees would hand the ball off 24 times without a pass. This year his personal numbers are down but he would prefer one more ring to one more record. This team is playing follow the leader.

Good point. It's also good to see Payton back on fire again.
Who else is left from the 2009 SB team? Strief...

Kelvin Benjamin even acknowledged this after the game...

“This is definitely a different Saints team," Benjamin said. "They're definitely playing with more confidence. They're just flying around, and you can tell they're having fun. You can just tell they're together over there, they're playing for each other."

Exactly! Trading Brandin Cooks was also part of the master plan. Getting rid of another self-centered player and replacing him w Ginn.
