It was ugly at times, but Saints' win on Sunday might have been most important of the season

Uglier than a bowling shoe until the last 5 minutes of the game.

The most important game is yet to come...

Yes, they're all important, but this one, and to pull it out late, against Washington was oh so sweet...

Its 2009 all over again.

Crazy game against the Redskins that year... we know how that season ended.

To win a game where you got beat all day and absolutely should have lost, is what happens in the course of special seasons.

The Saints have proven, except for the 1st 2 games that we can win anytime, any place and anywhere. 41-21 Saints against the Panthers.

Re: It was ugly at times, but Saints' win on Sunday might have been most important of the season

We learned to win the ugly games. Last year we would not have pulled it off

Rams on the road is a huge game.
Minni beat them so they are in the drivers seat for the #1 spot
Win over the Rams will keep us in pace with the vikes for the #1 seat.

at 8-2 every game is huge from here on out

I think it was a huge win, the team played gritty. As we all know, in past years it would have been a sure loss. I hate to admit I doubted for a minute, but I did.

Case in point, the Pats were dead and buried against the Dirty Birds
how they came back to win that game was nothing short of amazing.
Great teams and Coach's find a way, you could probably add Green Bay with the Patriots in this conversation.

Yes a good win BUT why the hell did we play so poorly for 50 + minutes?

Why does Washington ALWAYS give us trouble?

So many changes on the defenses im not suprised. Then loosing Lattimore and Okafor during the game its not a massive surprise imo.

Washington does not suck. It was being said on the radio this morning that Washington is a team that other teams don't want to play, even though their record is bad.

Getting out in front, yes? We still have to play the Rams in LA on Sunday.

Rams are currently ranked #28 (could change up or down after tonights game) against the run. This would be a great time to let that O line continue to dominate inside the trenches & create running lanes.

MI and Kamara can eat ... again.

Edit: I don't have the stats in front of me but damn, Mark has to be averaging 6+ yards per carry. He's in a zone & Kamara ...what can you say? What a weapon.

This could be a special season.

The reason why this one was the most important to this point is because we haven't beaten these @ssholes in our house since 1992...

...AND it allowed us to keep pace with the NFC Conference leaders - if only we didn't have to open the season at Minnesota...

I'd love to be going there now...

155 attempts for 806 yards and 8 TDs. 5.2 ypc.

Also understand that he only rushed 14 times in the first 2 games.

at times?
Deceptive headline.
Started with a bad pick and we never lead

Re: It was ugly at times, but Saints' win on Sunday might have been most important of the season

We were struggling at the half, down 17-13, still in it...

It was that awful 3rd, early 4th quarter where we couldn't put plays together...

And Sean forgot to flip the playcall chart over to call run plays...

Luckily, during a Juicy Fruit break, he picked up the chart and remembered he had Run Plays too...
