If Harris is out there against the Rams we're in for it.

Still think Lattimore will be ready for the Rams; ankle can't be too bad... I mean he tried to go back in after they re-taped it...

Agreed. I don't know why they keep putting him out there. Harris is awful.

Ankle can swell up and last more than a week.

Just hope it’s not the dreaded high-ankle sprain. Those last several weeks

I've have many ankle sprains playing football will into my 30s...
You wouldn't have been able to play any football in the 2nd half.

Look positive that it did not swell enough to need the ice pack.

He kept cycling to keep the blood, fluids moving to limit swelling...

And he did make an effort to come back...

Wednesday, we'll know if he's a gamer or naught...

We should start to get an idea into the severity of the injury after today's practice...

Ice packs are archaic and really only works as a pain relief.

Robert Woods is out. Wiser to sit Lattimore 1 more week with the ankle?

If AJ & KV are back this week, its an easier call to sit him vs the Rams IMHO. Glad I ain't gotta make that decision.

I'd go with the docs on this one. If there is no real danger of further injury and Lattimore is 90% or more, then let him play. Otherwise sitting out for a week and getting in better shape for two tough back to back division games may be the better course of action.

Wonder if Payton is playing possum with Lattimore injury?

Show up in L.A. and, Surprise! He's fine...

And then LA has to adjust on the fly with us having Lattimore...

I'd love it, but he's never done it before.

He never fired Vitt before either. Hell, if he can do that, he can do anything!

If Crawley can't go on Sunday, that's a real concern. He's been a solid #2 corner all season.

Not a popular opinion but I would sit Lattimore. For two weeks.

We need him 100% for the division run.

I kinda agree with you on this. After the Panthers game there’s only 4 days off before we play Atlanta on TNF. That’s 3 games in 11 days. If we hold him out until the Falcons game he’ll be more fresh and then have 10 days of rest after that.

I think I'll have to disagree. The division run starts on December 3rd against the KittyKats. Honestly, if the Saints can dominate the next 3 games, the three after that will matter a whole lot less as we'd extend our division lead against the KittyKats and Chokers by an addition game, along with sweeping the Kitties for the season.

So both Lattimore, Crawley, and everyone else who can contribute should get back on board as soon as their health allows for it. The NFC South can be virtually wrapped up by December 8th if we play our cards right.

The goal is to win the war not the battle. He can sit for a game or two. Better to have him healthy but all these signing look awful. Think he will be out 2 games.

My point is that the next three games has the potential to win the war. Of course being out there prematurely isn't a smart move. But it's clear in the NFC this isn't the year to let off the pedal. There's likely to be a 10-6 or even an 11-5 team that doesn't make the show. And if we're stuck with a 3rd matchup with either the KittyKats or Chickens, we want it in our house.

So our best players should play as soon as they are healthy enough to play. If that's December 3rd, then that's when they should play.

That’s what I’m saying. Sit him for two weeks until we face Carolina. That’s when we’ll really need him.
