Report: Marshon Lattimore in walking boot after Saints practice

Marshon Lattimore’s status for Sunday’s critical NFC matchup doesn’t look great.
The New Orleans Saints rookie cornerback was spotted in a walking boot after Wednesday’s practice to help protect the left ankle he injured in the team’s Week 11 win over the Redskins, The Times-Picayune reports.

We hafta sit the kid. LA is down their #1 WR anyway. We commit to the run and run it like we know we can, keep their O on the bench, wear them down, and come back healthy (win streak now at 9) and win our 10th straight at home against Scam.

Yes. I hope they keep Lattimore on "ice" too. He's too important & we'll need him when it matters most. I expect a heavy dose of the run game (assuming we aren't playing catch up) to keep Goff & his offense off the field. Having Klein & Kenny V will help.

I think we beat the Rams by double digits on Sunday.

Stop Gurley. Their WR's are not very good so our secondary can likely handle them. Golf is also no Cousins. He has only done well against bad teams. Pretty much falls apart facing average defenses.

I thought Lattimore was injured in the Bills game.

Keep an eye on Cooper Kupp. Promising young rookie WR who can hurt you in the passing game.

No. He was injured less than four minutes into the Washington game on their first possession covering Josh Doctson in the end zone. We were basically minus our best CB for the entire game and playing shorthanded.

It's going to be difficult from here on out without him and Okafor. I think we all know that much. We caught several teams dealing with the same stuff so what comes around goes around but we are still in decent shape. Rams are pretty beat up in the secondary and out their best WR. I'm just hoping we have enough to make the playoffs and get Lattimore back to give us boost.

I'd put Moore and P.J. on those boundaries with Kenny V in the box. Williams and V Bell as your safeties high. Key here is to take away Gurley & pressure Goff.

I know Allen and Devante' have that Texas A&M connection, but Harris shouldn't see the field ... notably at corner. He's lost.

How much defense do you have to play if you control the clock to the tune of 40 minutes or more per contest? :bng:

Because if your defense sucks the other team scores quickly?

Yeah, we might be able to squeak by but after that we are in likely big trouble facing Julios and Funchesses type WR's. I hate to say it but the writing is on the wall without Lattimore looking at the Skins game.

This.

Also, why the immediate panic and drop the run game crap?

The Saints have repeatedly shown that the NFL is a sixty minute game, every week.

Allen's defense routinely makes big adjustments.

Abandoning the run is SP feeding his addiction to the pass.

Just say no!!!!

And no Sean,

We don't count your asenine end around plays as committing to the run game.
