Yet another supercilious prediction without a shred of analysis. Neither of the two games you describe does little to secure the division, much less a bye.

The next three games are crucial:

Rams: a win keeps the Saints in the hunt with 9 wins, keeping pace with the current NFC leaders. It also secures a head to head win against the likely NFC West champ.

KittyKats: a win secures the season sweep, meaning the kitties would have to finish a game ahead to have a chance at the division. Effectively 2 games behind with 4 to play is bad odds for them.

Chokers: a win guarantees at least a split, and pushes the chokers another game back.

After that an 11-2 Saints squad can then look ahead to playoff positioning. A 4-0 division record, a sweep of the 2nd place team and a win over the 3rd place team would be huge. But until then, treating the next three games as playoff games should be the mission.

Don’t get all crazy. Way to early to worry about seeding. Right now we could get a wild card and I would be thrilled. As a matter of fact we have the type of team that will travel very, very well.
The Rams always kill us. Last year we got them but they usually have our number. Injuries are a concern. I will take a loss today if it means all hands on deck for division play.

10 games in the NFC may not be enough for a team to make the playoffs. We got left out in 88 when we went 10-6, so...

With our top 2 CB's out and our 2nd best DE who excels against the run out, it plays right to the Rams strength. They also have a great NT who could give us fits right up the middle (Brees' Kryptonite)

We're also due to lay an egg, the Rams are coming off a loss, we seem to always have trouble with the Rams.

This game worries me more than any game remaining on our schedule. I could easily see us getting our teeth kicked in.

It worries me too. We are definitely in a better position to get beat by a lesser team than we have been all year but division games always worry me the most. Records and stats go out the window. We have ended a couple of the Falcons big winning streaks with some of the worse teams we have had.
One advantage we do have is that this is a COMPLETELY different type of Saints team that our division opponents are used to playing. Familiarity goes out the window. That being said I’m not even counting Tampa as a sure thing.
