Lattimore Did Not Practice Thursday
Lattimore was one of four key players who didn't participate in the open portion of practice. The other three -- left tackle Terron Armstead (thigh/shoulder), tight end Coby Fleener (concussion) and safety Marcus Williams (groin) -- missed practice on Wednesday, too.

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
Shut him down until Atlanta I guess, or smoke screen?

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
Real roller coaster of emotion here.

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
PJ and Crawley can get it done. Keep Harris on ST's.

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
not good
If he can play at all you gotta get him out there- this game is too important. Lose Sunday and now you are looking at wildcard spots and you've got the hot Falcons twice |

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
I dont know if its him or the coaches cant figure out if he is a diva cb that wont play nicked up or if its the coaches being too cautions with him . It didnt look that bad he wad jumping around celebrating the williams int.He said on twitter he wasnt gonna be out long .so i lean toward cautious coaches at the moment.

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
If he can play he will. Coaches might just be giving him more rest during the week, the guy doesn’t need more practice.
|
Re: Lattimore DNP Today
Said before I’d sit him two weeks. We need him down the stretch.
|
Re: Lattimore DNP Today
Be a good game to sit him. Save him for Julio. Funchess is banged up and ain't that good otherwise Cam would not be running around so much.
|
Re: Lattimore DNP Today
I think you need this game for tie breaker cause i think 2 or more are gonna end up with the same record. Wannt rest him rest him against a afc team need these conference games well

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
However, when speaking after practice, it's clear that Crawley's oblique strain, which the team is listing as an abdomen injury, is still bothering him.
Saints' Ken Crawley: 'It looks like I'm going to go this week' | NOLA.com As a general rule, grade one Side Strains should be rested from bowling and throwing activities for about 3 weeks, and grade two Side Strains for about 4 to 6 weeks. In the case of a complete rupture the Internal Oblique or External Oblique muscles the rehabilitation afterwards will take about 2-3 months. Actually I question if Crawley should be out there. I want him to play but a oblique strain take 3 weeks at the minimum to recover from. The saints need them both badly but I'll hate for us to lose one or both before the Atlanta's games |
Re: Lattimore DNP Today
The offense can win this game. It will take the offense, defense, and special teams to beat Atlanta. You don't want to send Lattimore out and have him miss both games and possibly beyond.

Re: Lattimore DNP Today
The issue is we have no depth. Williams is a average CB at best, he got best multiple times last week. Moore is our best option. Harris needs to be cooking burgers or something, the guy is awful and no NFL CB.
The good thing is that we are playing Cam, so if you cover the deep ball you don’t have any other worries. What’s more important this week is a solid pass rush. Shake cam early with pressure and he’ll break. |
Re: Lattimore DNP Today
I would let Cam try to beat us without or two best CB out there
If Atlanta loses Sunday to the vikes, I would play it by ear for Thursday |

Re: Lattimore Did Not Practice Thursday
Yea, I think Carolina is beatable without Lattimore in there. I think it'd be horrible situation against the Falcons just because of Julio Jones.
The thing is, the Carolina game may be the most important game we have left on the schedule. |
Re: Lattimore Did Not Practice Thursday
I have a bad feeling heading into this final stretch.
We either play the CB's even though it sounds as though Crawley isn't even close to being healthy and risk losing him altogether, or we sit them and risk losing a few games or possibly missing out on the playoffs altogether. |

Re: Lattimore Did Not Practice Thursday
Okafor was a big lost to the secondary. Our push took a decent hit. Really exposes the weak DB situation. I think Crawley though will be back, at least on critical downs. Next week Lattimore. If they stay on the field we are getting in the playoffs.

Re: Lattimore Did Not Practice Thursday
Thursday is a day of going over assignments in meeting rooms. Players are often held out. We shall see if he practices on Friday. In any case, he could certainly be better by Sunday at 3:30.
