Must win

We have to take care of Carolina. I don’t think Atlanta is as much of a threat, have been beaten by Carolina and we have their number. Without sweeping we are almost surly in the playoffs unless we lay eggs against the Falcons. Cam was injured and couldn’t run much first time around but he’s second in ypc after Kamara. Okafor will be missed. Crawly is going to help take away the pass which Cam has not done well with so far.
Offense on our side has to execute or we are in trouble.
We need to cheap shot Cam early and often to rattle him. A courple of nice sacks early can put him in scared baby pout mode. I’ll take a penalty or two against us in our house.
Maybe not cheap but get to him. Penetration is key here and we can come out with a win.
This is a playoff game and a good team will miss the wildcard. We have to win this one and move to Atlanta with a healthy Lattimore.
We have been lucky in every game except the Bills and Dolphins who suck. Played 3 playoff teams with franchise QBs out or very banged up.
Cam will run like his career is s on the line.

They've all been must win - since Minnesota...

Amazing how a Week 1 loss, where Payton didn't trust an effective running game, but trusted the No. 5 CB (Harris), may cost us home-field advantage in the playoffs...

Re: Must win

Who else was suppose to play? If not Harris?, He has played poorly but he WAS NOT the only one Rafael Bush missed tackles Pj Willaims had a bad game as well and KV. Defense was dumbfounded last Sunday lets hope they are past their brain farts offensively and defensively.

Tell me how we got lucky in the Redskins game, playing without our top cb for most of the game and without klein.

And how did we get lucky in the 1st carolina game?

I dont think you win 8 games in a row in the nfl being lucky.

Crawly.

We got lucky that Cam was banged up and couldn’t run.

He did run a bit though. We did a better job containing. He is running more often because his shoulder is hurt and it’s effecting his throws. He is going to try and run more this week but the D should be ready for it.

I don’t know if this is a must win, but it makes the rest of the season much more important.

4-1 for the rest of the season and we take the division (maybe first round bye)
3-2 should get us a wildcard spot
2-3 might not make the playoffs

Home field advantage is over rated. See 2016 13-3 Dallas Cowboys :p.

Everyone is 0-0 & battle tested come playoffs. One slip up ... done.

Especially in the Dome. The visiting team fans are showing up in record numbers and making noise when they want to. Not exactly producing "Fan Impact Plays", but it's unnerving.

All the while, the Season Tix - Club seats sit on their hands. You stand up and shout and you'll be told to sit down and "enjoy the game".

Let's just WIN.

So you saw this in the Dome this season? And where do you get your record number of visiting fan statistics? How many games have you personally attended in the Dome over the past couple of years?

Have others here experienced this? I know I haven't.

Well?

Bullshinski...Ask Vikings if they'd like to have played that NFC Championship Game in Minnesota?

That game's not in the Dome, we're not in the Superbowl - Brett Favre even said it was the difference in that game...

And we earned that home field advantage and because of that, we earned that Superbowl...

Some teams are better than others with the home field - Superdome used to be the toughest, think Seattle has that title right now...

Now if you're Atlanta, not so much...

Re: Must win

How about the Giants winning it all as a wild card. That would be fun. Rather have home field advantage. Cam couldn’t run partly because of injury and we had Okafor. Him being out is going to hurt. I think we take it. I want to see him pout so bad. We have to hit on all cylinders. We play like the last 2 weeks and we are in trouble.
Hit cam early and often. Cheap shots, a few penalties, I don’t care. Just get him rattled early.
That’s the key. Even if he makes the pass if we get a couple of hits in when he first releases the ball we win.

I hate to say it. But, I do think this is must win territory. A loss means our chance of winning the division go to 26%. Although, making the playoffs is still at 70% without all other data on wins/losses tomorrow.

Re: Must win

The Saints didn't "EARN" it. The Vikings gave it to them. Vikings had to win against the Bears to secure home field and they LOST giving it to the Saints.

Just win the f-en game already. No f-en exuces, execute, make plays, score points and win the f-en game.

Hmmkay...?

FOUR. Been coming for YEARS to two games per year. Some away games as well. And I sit all over the dome, usually between the 30's. Most recently with Budsdrinker in 127, however.

YOU? WELL?

And you still say the visiting fans are coming in record numbers and implying that they are unnerving our team with their noise? And you have season ticket holder telling you to sit down and enjoy the game and not shout? I've also been attending a couple of games a year and have never experienced this. Can anyone else here verify what Alaska Saints is implying? It's never been my experience nor anyone else's that I've checked with that are regular Superdome fans.

Re: Must win

"Unnerving" to me, as a home team fan, and yes, the amount of noise that opposing teams' fan can make in our Dome, just means that the home field advantage is not as strong in New Orleans as some would be led to believe. That was the point of my original comment.

Believe it or don't. Matters not. But you certainly need things laid out for you simply, in a manner that you can understand. You're welcome.

Pretty much every game I have heard that opponent teams allotment of tickets have not sold out, therefore thy offer them up as general sales. That doesn't sound like opposing fans presence being any greater than normal.
