We made a mistake signing Fleener to that contract, he got similar money to Marques Colstons deal and has never been in the same ball park in terms of production.

Time to cut our losses.

Anytime we do what people want to do and cut our losses those same people spend the next few years giving holy hell about dead cap. You can't have it both ways.

Very true, year after year I like to think that Payton and Loomis have learned their lesson after deals like this, Browner, Byrd etc

Jeff Ireland has shown the draft can fix a ton of problems and low key signings like Alex Okafor can also help that.

Is Maulet actually good? He better be. He might start. The Garrett Griffin kid could be decent. Suppossedly a strong blocker with some athleticism.

Eyes on Maulet. I don't know anything about his skills and if the saints can stay injury free in this game. I probably don't know much more than his ST skills

Fleener was over drafted and over paid but that does not mean he can not play.

take a pay cut and build in performance bounces then fans may give him a chance

Not really. P.J. Williams' 2016 season ended when he was placed on IR because of a severe concussion.

Definitely without Harris. Dude is a trainwreck in the secondary.

I think most are frustrated with Fleener simply because his production doesn't match the dollars the Saints spent on him. Honestly he's made a few good plays in the last month or so. But the millions that has been spent on him in no way matches his production. And since the Saints are no longer upside down on the salary, he will be released in the offseason.

I'm the first to admit I complain about dead cap because it is getting real real real old but this season has got my mind off it. WHO DAT !
