Dennis Allen is hoping Marshon Lattimore will be ready to play against Atlanta Falcons

Allen is just another DC without Lattimore...

Will this cause Sean Payton to commit to running the Damn ball?

And furthermore, I'm hoping he's healthy enough to play the rest of the games we have this season AND post season! So there!

I really don't think they are. They would have ran him out there Sunday if that were the case. Ol' boy wanted to go back into the Deadskins game, but they shut him down after 1 play and consequently the next 2 games. Seems they are properly bringing him along to me.

I'm no doctor, but I did stay at a....

Just throwing this out there... Week 3 last season, Crawley limits Julio Jones to 1 catch for 16 yards. Crawley was also surrounded by a far worse supporting cast than he has now.

If Lattimore feels great then let’s rock and roll. If not, then he can take his time.

Good call on Crawley. He’s pretty good too!

Exactly. I would rather have him 100% for game 2 against the Falcons and playoffs. It’s just so tight in the conference right now it’s hard not to play every man on deck.

Sterling Moore has had a good run against Julio as well...

We're 9th in the league in rushing attempts. 3rd in rushing yards. 1st in rushing TDs.

What, exactly would you like him to change?

i know whats hes saying and i see it also too sometimes we need to run the rock more with boom and zoom than drew throwing the rock in the shoe laces of lineman. but you have to limit the licks kamera is getting also. that body is getting hammered alot.:bng:

Rams game we ran 16 times, 17 with a Brees' scramble, and threw 32 times - that's 1:2 pass and that's not going to get'r done with a defense without Lattimore...

What's perplexing is the run early and often formula was working, see '76's ranking citations, and the Rams set up nicely with a weak run defense...

...yet there was Sean, outsmarting everyone, including himself...

Lattimore was drafted, among many reasons, but at the top would be Julio Jones...

It seems to me that SP gets zero joy from calling running plays that aren't end arounds.

The methodical, steady, wearing down of a defense isn't glorious or ego stroking it seems.

I have no statistical basis for what I have posited

Only 11 years of watching him inexplicably, out of nowhere, abandon what is working.

Flame Away, but ask yourself how many times you wanted to rip the call sheet out of his hands.

If he can make it through this game and we can pull out the win then we have a long weak of rest and I am very confident against the jets. I just hope we don't play down to the competition. The division is certainly ours to take.

Lattimore is supposed to be a geaux - if I had to guess, he's not playing all the snaps as he'll share with Moore...

This way you keep a fresh CB on Julio, Crawley will have his hands full with a surging Sunu, and Williams will need to man up against other kids...

Big part of the game will be Klein, Robertson negating a recovering Freeman...

Intriguing match ups but I like my chances with Crawley covering Sanu. He's (Ken) played well all year & I think the trend continues tonight. But PJ concerns me ... he must turn his head and play the ball.

Agreed on Crawley; PJ has the ability, has proven he can do it...

William's just got to get the consistency in his game; you can't have lapses like he's had in the NFL (Patrick Robinson)...

I don't know why Guido doesn't agree with you. I most certainly do. Payton makes me shake my head sometimes with his play calling. I understand that he wants to confuse defensive coordinators and it works......mostly. Still, there are too many times that I just can't comprehend what he was thinking. He likes to outsmart his opponents but it doesn't always work and I'm left shaking my head.

I think Payton is doing a great job. The Saints are currently ranked third in the NFL in rushing, third in passing and second overall. I don't worry about what he's thinking. That's not my job. I just want them to win and they are doing just that.
