My 4 round Saints mock

#1 round Travis Johnson - Let's face it, our defense isn't going anywhere without production from the defensive tackles. We need a stud here, and he's our man. Although I would love for Sullivan to develop, but his off-season hasn't really been encouraging. Johnson and Green would be a solid foundation for the defense. Young is not superstar, but he is solid to make a formidable 3 man rotation. Anything we can get out of Sullivan will be a plus.

Next best choice - Carlos Rodgers
Sleeper pick - Troy Williamson

#2 Corey Webster - We need a ballhawk on defense period. Before he was injured this year, he was a top 10 pick last year if he would have left. He will be an absolute steal here in the second round if he's still available. A group of Mike, Corey, Dwight, Thomas, Bellamy, Craft, Mitchell, Gleason looks very solid. INT's baby, I can't wait.

Next best choice - Adrian McPhearson (talented qb who's arm has drawn comparsion to John Elways. Time to take a hike AB :P )
Also should consider - Odell Thurman (Now we can shift Watson outside and have Thurman punish in the middle.)

#3 Ray Willis - From the looks of it, Stinchcomb might be able to beat out Mayberry for the starting right tackle spot. But it will be hard to pass up on a talented tackle in Willis. I would take him here and groom him into a left tackle because he definately has the talent to make that move. Over-shadowed by Alex Barron, I feel as if he's just a good.

Alternative pick - Jordan Beck (fast, strong, can make the move to safety if necessary, Adam Archuleta clone)
Sleeper pick - Michael Boley (Scouts love to dog the guy, but point blank this guy produces. Look at the amount of big plays he made throughout his college career. You can't beat that)

#4 Jerome Carter - This former boxer will knock anyone's lights out if they dare cross the middle. Now that we have Smith to help in coverage, Carter can be the Rodney Harrison this team needs. I would love to elevate Mitchell to the starting SS spot, but he needs a fire lit under him. I can see those two duking it out in practice.

Alternative pick - Eric Shelton (Okay this is wishful thinking because he'll definately go higher. Any running back here would be fine. We have Smith signed for 1 year and with the rb class this year, we can't go wrong. This may sound like a weird idea, but don't you think Maurice Clarett's running style is very similiar to Deuce's? No guts no glory)

Hope you guys enjoyed my 2 cents. ;)
