Why didn't SP challenge Ingram out of bounds?

Looking at the replay it seemed clear that Ingram stayed inbounds and scored.

Maybe he should have... we would've covered the spread.

So there it is.

I still think that is a slight rule change that should be done in regards to the challenges thou.

Agreed... rule change is needed.

He really didn't need to.

The ref should not have called him out because all scores are looked at and then they could've ruled him out on review if he did step out. Refs have been horrible all year though.

You can't change the rule.

When the whistle blows everyone has to stop playing. In order to change the rule everyone has to keep playing even if you are tackled you have to get up and run to the end zone in case the tackle is challenged???

The other thing is the ref who blew the whistle was right there. Its hard to challenge a play when the right is right ontop of where his foot was.

So......we agree the ref was right there. Do we also agree that he blew the call?

He knew the refs wouldn't overturn it.

It is all moot. The play was whistled dead when the official thought he saw Ingram step out. That made it unable to be reviewed. As simple as that.

Correction, the ref that blew the whistle was the lone female official not a he.
Overall I thought it was a decent officiated game.
