We have not made the playoffs yet
We still have to win one of our next two games to get in. Dallas and Seattle will be playing to maintain six losses this week and both play teams they have no chance to lose to. Any given week, but Blaine Gabbert and Kerwyn Williams are not winning in Seattle. Even if the eagles decide to play to eliminate Dallas, it won't work. Dallas has owned that place and Dak and Elliott will not be outplayed by Foles and a inferior running game. And if Rodgers does not play week 17, the lions get involved but our h2h will not count because of Dallas or Seattle. Detroit is in over all parties based on common games(after conference record eliminates us).
We lose any tie-breaker because of our conference record to teams out of the division. We need to win this week. We should, but the officiating says it all as well as Deion Jones. TB is not gonna be a walk in the park especially if Brees does not step up under pressure and Payton does not start to use the right players. It is a division road game, and it's supposed to be tough. So if the refs and Deion Jones win again, then they may as well help the bucs beat us so that Atlanta does not have to play us a third time. However, we are not in the playoffs yet and I will say if we lose this game the pressure will be on in TB. Well, TB is gonna be a pressure game anyway because of my next statement... We have not won the division yet, even if we win this week. Beating Atlanta is only half the battle. Personally I believe Atlanta's same odd record pattern will not change and they will either win both or lose both the last two games. In fact. it will be week 17 SNF as the NFL will hope the bucs upset us earlier in the day. So yeah we still could end up going to Carolina(or LA) in the wild card round. The next two weeks will be a tough challenge for the saints and they better be on the same page. |
