remember he is not a 3 down SLB. He is stuck playing MLB on third downs.

As a first year starter in a new system I have to give him a bit of a pass on this PPF

A true 3 down MLB or switching him to MLB and getting a SLB would go a long way to helping those PPF stats.

This is a big blow to the defense

Was our leading tackler until he started missing games. This will hurt.
Teo has better a good fill-in, but over-pursues too much. Vitt needs to get him to redirect that energy

I know that's what ended JJ WAtt's season and have read about many others, as well. I'll see if I can dig into that.

He may well contribute from the sidelines since he calls the defense whilst on the field. May bot hurt as much as we think especially with the emergence of Teo.

Our players always drop like flies..........there is nothing new there. Could the trainers be the next department that gets a new infusion of blood?

It's a good question. For the first time in years, I say we have a really good LB. I like how Robertson and Teo are playing as well. I don't have any numbers to back it up, but something feels different when Klein is on the field. It seems players get to the ball quicker, attack a RB, go sideways a little faster. I'm not saying he's a top 5 linebacker in the league, but he is a huge upgrade from what we've had since Vilma left.

Going back to the days of Jim Haslett, I always wanted the coaching staff to put more importance on the linebackers. Sam, mike, will, we've been weak there for decades. We can still use some improvement, but Klein is a great first step.
