I don't see the league being favorable to allowing a player (past or present) to be wielding a baseball bat coming out of the tunnel with the team. The NFL is under scrutiny & litigation for "concussion" stuff, and let's not forget the whole Bounty-gate crap. Somebody on the field with a Louisville Slugger wouldn't be a good appearance for the League. The League is trying to tone down the violent part of the sport, even if it is just a symbolism.
Nope, I don't believe that's going to happen. They might let Reggie come out on the field with a butterfly net, but a baseball bat?.. mmm no. |
