Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
I’m hoping Warford and Peat are back this week and I’m eager to see how our team responds.
After Further Review: How Falcons shut down Saints' run game and why they can do it again |
Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
Well as long as we don't start the game with another uncalled helmet to helmet, I think the run game is much more effective this week.

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
With both Kamara and Kelemete going down and Peat not active we never had the opportunity to use most of the running playbook that had been designed for the Failclowns. Those play are still available and most likely tweaked based upon what was seen out of the previous game. I am expecting the run game to be FAR more effective this Sunday.
16-4 Baby! :bng: |
Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
don't hurt to know paytons playbook by heart, thats what it looks to me, the jet sweep its so obvious one covering on db moved up in the box. brees needed to change that play when your lineup is'nt ur lineup anymore u have to change the plan, we are the weakest at backups, put ingram and kamara in the back more. make them play up and pop it to the tight end???? ever mine we dont have one.

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
With the way Payton uses Kamara; he stays in the game and there's no way that I can see they are able to shut us down...

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
Call a honest game and with all the injuries we still could have won that game
Atlanta appears to be the NFL choice in the south. I watch NFL network, ESPN and the pre game talk is still 80% clowns. Both are mouth pieces of the NFL as well know. honesty is not their forte. Win this one and shut the NFL media mouth pieces up. Pray the kitties beat them next week and put this favoritism to rest. |
Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
Drew doesn't force an unnecessary throw on 2nd down in the red zone and we likely win the game, injuries and refs aside.

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
Bid difference between Kelemente and Warford.

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
According to the article it looks like they beat us in the one on one match ups. We have the best O-line when everyone is healthy. However, we aren't fielding all of our starters Sunday and could easily lose key match ups against a strong defensive line.

Since Tuesday- found 2 new generators, house sold, got a dryer cheap, weld fixed for free, dishwasher fixed, free laptop and got a MAJOR life changing contract. All I need is a Saints win and it will be the best week ever. I’ve got the mojo working right now. |
Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
Ignore that we lost Kamara and Ingram was injured. Ignore the oline injuries that had us playing with a third string guard

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
We ran the ball very little...
Ingram was reportedly injured during the week and was listed as questionable, Peat was out and Kamara left the game after 1 series... let's not forget Ginn was out as well. ATL played an injured Saints offense and had the refs giving them free first downs... yet they only won because of a bad throw by Drew. This game is going to look completely different and ideally should be a blow out. No game has mattered more this season. |

Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
This is what I am scared of.......
I know you will think this is rediculous Atlanta's division records since 2006 1-5 3-3 3-3 5-1 3-3 3-3 1-5 5-1 1-5 5-1 No 2-4, no 4-2. So imagine if we beat Atlanta this weekend, and Carolina wins, then what? Carolina at Atlanta probably becomes the week 17 SNF, and if the saints beat the bucs. What reason does Carolina have to win at Atlanta other than trying to eliminate them from the playoffs? Does Carolina even care about that? And honestly, why would they want to go out and win a road game, knowing they are going to have to go on the road against us the week after(unless the titans win this week). So I'm worried that if even if we do win this week, we might lose to the bucs. Maybe there is a miracle and TB wins this week, leaving Carolina to fight for their playoff lives. |

I’m not convinced we can go beat Tampa if we have to. We aren’t safe. Yet. Honestly if we don’t beat Atlanta at home we have no business in the playoffs. |
Re: Good read on Falcons D Line impact last game
Kamara's averaging 6.6 yards per carry on 99 carries. That's the highest ypc for a running back in two decades. So after reading this...
The loss of Kamara on the Saints’ first drive of the game undoubtedly altered what the game plan was for New Orleans coming into the game, but it’s important to remember that Mark Ingram is still the team’s starting – and more traditional – running back. Kamara is extremely dangerous, but he’s arguably a better receiver at this point in his career. ...it was hard to take anything else he wrote seriously. |

That may be true, but can they beat us three times in five weeks, even at home? Any other time, no. They probably could this time because of us having a road division game before that. That's one reason why I don't think Atlanta beats us because they just went to TB and are playing us on five days rest on a back to back road game and twice in three weeks. The last time a team won twice in three weeks furthermore was in 2014 when Seattle beat SF. Three teams that were all much superior did it in 2013 with the exception being us against Carolina. So if Atlanta can pull that off against us this week then I give us a fighting chance to pull it off too. If we are good enough to beat Carolina in January a third time, I don't think it hinders us too much to play them on the road. What really is troubling is Green Bay couldn't beat Carolina and if they did this situation would have been a lot different. That's why I wished we had beaten the rams. |
