James Harrison Released... should we?

If the price is right, yes.

Re: James Harrison Released... should we?

He only has a $1.2 million salary this year and $1.3 million next year... It’s kind of a no-brainer isn’t it?! Put in that waiver claim!

Re: James Harrison Released... should we?

You bring him in no questions asked..You bring the real soldiers to war no matter the cost.

Why not, depth and experience is a real issue now, I’m sure it couldn’t hurt.

We've got a younger, faster, better version in Kikaha, so no...

Probably work out as well as Champ Bailey did for us.

In Pgh listening to the reports...
Harrison played in 5 games, total of 40 snaps this year.

they cut him with Shazier out, so I am guessing he is done

Who do you drop in order to sign him?

Soldiers? War? An insult to everyone wearing or worn a military uniform in a real "WAR ZONE"

Hmmmm...........it might be worth getting him to finish the year

That george johnson cat has 2.5 sacks in 2 games thats pretty good. Harrison two shadows of his former self

No waiver claims for James Harrison – ProFootballTalk

Re: James Harrison Released... should we?

Since he was cut on Saturday, making it highly unlikely anyone would pick him up, I expect him to re-sign with the Steelers. But, he would be a great veteran presence. Unfortunately, with all the injuries and the oline in constant flux, I don't see it happening.

Re: James Harrison Released... should we?

Kikaha has seen the field more lately, and has filled in okay.
Not sure why he can't make himself more valuable and play ST.
He's not that slow

He is visiting the Patriots today.

As I mentioned I was in Pgh over xmas and the writing was on the wall, but Harrison was total class about it
Very surprised he'd jump to NE, but obviously he has a shot at a ring.

He has a shot at a check. They were talking about it on ESPN today and some ex-player said as long as he got paid Harrison would spill his guts on everything he knew about the Steelers. When asked if there would be a problem if the Pats cut him a few days later the player said not as long as the check clears. It is a business. It isn't the ring that matters. It is the money.

That was too obvious. Pats jumped on something Pittsburgh lost.

Re: James Harrison Released... should we?

I can just hear it now:

Belichick: Welcome aboard James! What was your job in Pittsburgh?

Harrison: Thanks coach! Can't wait, my job was to sack the QB!l

Belichick: Thanks James, hope you enjoyed your time as a Patriot, you're fired!

That's how you get RINGS!!!!!

l still trust in SPAGS!!!
