Defensive end George Johnson quickly rewarding Saints' confidence
Defensive end George Johnson heard plenty of doubt about his potential before the New Orleans Saints signed him earlier this month.
"Just a couple weeks ago I was sitting at home and teams told me I couldn't rush, I wasn't a good rusher anymore, I had lost a step," Johnson said. "But, thank God and thanks to the Saints for bringing me in and giving me another opportunity to actually show that I still can rush and still can play." Speaking of 09 - who was the defensive lineman we picked up after being released for drug possession? Revived his career here under Gregg W... May have played for the Packers?

Re: Defensive end George Johnson quickly rewarding Saints' confidence
I've been thinking about this George Johnson guy. I know we've all been hoping we'd sign him. My point is that it's a very good sign that we can plug other team's leftovers in and they become weapons for our defense. The Pats do this a lot right? I also think the Saints corners are causing QBs to hold the ball a little longer. The word is out on Lattimore. QBs know they better locate him before they throw. Or else. Loving this huh? WhoDat!
