Saints sign Tony McDaniel

The Saints signed defensive lineman Tony McDaniel on Tuesday.

He spent some time with the team during training camp.

The 49ers cut the veteran lineman on November 13 to create a roster spot for Tank Carradine. McDaniel, 32, played four games with San Francisco this season, making five tackles and forcing a fumble.

More depth. It's worrisome we have to do this so late the season. I am glad we have the option.

He played very well in the preseason, I was shocked to see him cut then. The depth is needed.

As Danno pointed out last week, these bottom of the roster moves are not significant
You are talking about guys who are either inactive on game day or get less than 10 snaps
