Yes, BUT, we MUST play better than the 1/2 arse effort out there today.

Unless you want to tell me that Sean Payton saw that the Falcons were going to give us the division and threw the game at the end against the Bucs to bump us back down to the #4 seed (with Rams already roasted).

Normally, yes, but the Falcons are going to beat the rams

This almost felt like they wanted to lose for the easier path the SB. Easier to go through philly than Minnesota.

I'm still mad we lost to a 4 win team, but we did get a better matchup for the playoffs.

I'd imagine Sean is giving the players hell right about now though.

I imagine you're right, but Tampa is better than a 4 win team, particularly lately.

Agreed. We should have won, but really the worst case scenario was:

1) major injuries
2) a blowout loss that destroyed our mojo
3) a blowout win that made us overconfident

Exactly how I feel.

Offense lost this game. Can't play like this in playoffs. Time of possession is the key. Players on defense were too tired on that last drive. Josh Hill is garbage in passing game. Poor route running. Need 2nd weapon in passing game.

I like our chances vs Carolina. Awful offense. We can handle their defense.

Players were too tired on Defense because they kept giving up long ass drives and too many third down conversions. Our defense gave up 455 yards and 28 first downs. They also gave up 31 points and a 95 yard drive in less than 2 minutes, puhhllleaseee

Jesus H Christ Tampa had 81 plays today and that was on the offense LMAO! That was they're fault

Team Loss

Overall it was not that bad. Few players just kept giving them easy first downs. Pj Williams and Bell (don't like him in coverage) were awful.

Interesting tid bit;

Both times we played Carolina, Lattimore was injured and did not play.

spkb25 12-31-2017 07:06 PM

Re: Saints vs Buccaneers Game Day Thread

14plays 75 yards
7 plays 41 yards
6 plays 17 yards
12 plays 75 yards
3 plays 17 yards
5 plays 13 yards
8 plays 67 yyards
6 plays 4 yards
10 plays 51 yards
11 plays 95 yards

They have 4 drives for 10 or more plays and 5 drives with more than 50 yards.

It is what it is, but the offense is not why they were tired, they did that to themselves.

BTW- this just in, Rankins sucks. He is not Robbin to batman or whatever that article said

So we bench him?

Nope, just saying it bodes well that we beat Carolina twice without our 2nd best defender on the field both times.

Thankfully the kicker is still upright. The Panthers are the best match up. Other than that, time to move on.

Exhausting, demoralizing loss.
Cut Tommy Lee Lewis.
Sean Payton is an idiot.
The banner that signifies this Division Crown will have an (*)Asterisk.
Sean Payton is an idiot.
Very hard to beat a team three times in a season, and I expect that Sean will not be able to coach himself out of the wet paper bag next week and we will be shocked by the Panthers at home. SAD.

I'll be happy to be totally wrong.

ATL and CAR got it done...Top two seeds have serious question marks at quarterback and we can only muster 10 pts on three turnovers?!?

One game does not make a season. The banner is based off of 16 games and through 16 games we have more wins than anyone else in the division or beat them head to head. Nothing is tainted.

That said, yeah we are very beat up and our oline is what has me most worried.

Kelemete injury? He returned, but we'll need him 100% vs the Panthers...
