The way we played Tampa
With the way we played Tampa I don’t even want to win the Super Bowl. If we win years from now when people look back all they will remember how we lost to Tampa. We will get Zero credit for winning the super bowl. Might as well put an * by it in the record books.

Re: The way we played Tampa
Then don't watch the game next week. Problem solved.

It don’t matter now. Win four in a row. That’s it.

Re: The way we played Tampa
Hate speech .. irrational and unhinged ... Does not matter how and what YOU say Trying to diminish this team they won the NFC South which by most accounts the best Divison in the NFL ... Championship!
|
Re: The way we played Tampa
You've made numerous threads since the loss and they are getting more and more irrational.
We are 11-5 after 3 straight 7-9 years, we have won the division and got a home playoff game, yet all you do is complain. Would you rather miss the playoffs like the past 3 years? Id love to win the super bowl, but this division title and playoff berth has made me forget about the mediocrity we used to put out there |
Re: The way we played Tampa
We lost our last 3 games in ‘09... Guess that Super Bowl shouldn’t count.

Re: The way we played Tampa
Dude remember 2009 though.
We lost in a similar crappy fashion to Tampa (missed easy FG) and that was in the Superdome. This is like the powerball - you have to buy a ticket to have a chance to win. We have a ticket and a 1 in 6 chance of making the Superbowl. I agree 110% that if they play that bad in the playoffs they will be out quickly, but let's hope the sense of urgency and the fact everyone able to strap up will be in there fighting will help. I too see many areas of concern - I don't feel the confidence of 2009 or 2011, but we're playing with house money now. Nobody picked this team to do more than pick their noses and they are division champs and should win at least one playoff game - and with a little luck and some good bounces, 3 more... |
Re: The way we played Tampa
As bad as the Saints played, in the overall grand scheme of things, very insignificant. Still won division, has 4th slot instead of 3rd. Had this game cost a division title, then it may have gone down in history as a major choke job.

Re: The way we played Tampa
Everybody remembers the Bucs won the Super Bowl. Smothering defense, Chuckie, Dominating the Raiders...
Nobody remembers the Saints swept them that year. |

If you truly believe that anyone will give a fat rat's a$$ that the Saints lost to the Bucs before winning the Super Bowl then you need to be institutionalized! Saints lost to three teams in 2009, Dallas, Tampa & Carolina, none of which made it to the playoffs; does that Super Bowl deserve an asterisk as well? |

Closet failclown lover, enough already with this garbage. I for one am happy for a change in the playoffs, been too long. Dude starting to sound like a Seahawk fan, you want to hear from fans speaking doom and gloom, go to one of there forums...

Re: The way we played Tampa
I'm pretty sure this is a troll thread. I don't really care if it is or isn't, but I'm quite certain it is, and I'm surprised everyone is taking it seriously.
If by chance it IS serious, then... well... I guess Tampa is the decider for worthiness. I'm just glad to hear that the Browns finished off a perfect 0-16 campaign. There is something magical about that record. Apparently their owner agrees. |
Re: The way we played Tampa
Last week was a tough spot. The game was tight all day. The Saints played hard. The Bucs played hard. I truly expect a better showing this week in the Dome.

Re: The way we played Tampa
Hopefully the Tampa game serves as a wake up call. It is disturbing that the team didn't seem to be able to get up for that game with the division on the line. Having said that, none of that matters now. Time to get it together and make the push.
As far as remembering the tampa game? We finished 0-3 in 2009 on our way to the superbowl and that is nothing but a side note now. |

I am always disappointed with any loss, but I knew it meant nothing in the long run. Hope your hand gets better soon. |
Re: The way we played Tampa
I'm not sure what's so soul crushing about this loss, this is a league of parity after all. It's disappointing sure, I was there and splurged for a good seat so you know I was damn well disappointed but we're still in the playoffs, we still won the division, and god damn it we are 11-5 and there's no shame in that given the strength of the NFC this year!
Tampa despite their record has not be an easy game for almost anyone. 7 of their 11 losses were by 6 points or less which included the Pats, ATL, Carolina, and Detroit. They just finally managed to finish one out against a division revival. |
Re: The way we played Tampa
I think after this game its obvious Drew is shot.
With talented guys like Snead, Hill and Coleman alongside Thomas, how could we not score 40 per game. |
Re: The way we played Tampa
At least my name was not mentioned in this thread.
If we lose this weekend it won't be because of the bucs game, it will be because of Carolina having more recent playoff experience. |
