The New Orleans Saints will host the Carolina Panthers in the wild-card round of the playoffs this Sunday, and there is a scenario where the No. 4 seed Saints could host another game this postseason.

"If the Saints win this week here at home, go to Philadelphia beat a team that doesn't have what arguably could be the MVP, you can then host the NFC Championship game," Saints analyst Gus Kattengell said. "But Atlanta's got to win as well."

Normally I wouldn't feel comfortable going to a cold away game but this year we have a good defense and a good running game. That's exactly what u need in cold games . First things first we have to beat the panties and no more injuries.

The more that I have had some time to think about it, I think we have a really great path to the Super Bowl opening up for us.... It would be much tougher to be the #3 seed and have to face Atlanta and the Vikes. The Panthers --> Eagles --> Falcons path is probably the "easiest" potential path of anybody seeded in the NFC (not that any of them are truly easy, but you get the idea. It's a particularly good set of matchups for us).

Not a fan of hoping someone else loses so that we look better on paper. But it's necessary if we are always capable of laying the egg we did last week

The Panthers are not going to lay down and allow us to steamroll them because we look good on paper and are playing at home.

I think we are built to be a very good road playoff team. Our run game gives makes us an all weather offense. The defensive backs are going to make it very tough for opposing QBs to throw on us. If we can tighten up our run defense there isn’t a game out there we can’t win in inclimate weather.
I would love to have the Falcons back at the dome but I still think it’s going to be Saints and Rams in NFCCG.
There isn’t a single team in the playoffs that has an upper hand over the other. Maybe give a slight edge to Minny but they are beatable. Playoffs are where experienced QBs shine. There are several young guys in it who can’t handle the heat.

Everybody is capable of laying an egg. In fact, everybody does lay an egg. Everybody. Always. That's why it is all but impossible to go undefeated.

Well the Falcons already helped us once this season beating Carolina, so who knows. First and foremost we have to beat Carolina ourselves for a 3rd time, and that is no easy task with a division rival.

I think its best NOT to look too far ahead for the Saints playoff scenario!

Iv'e always liked SP's philosophy of one game at a time!

Beat the Panthers first, thats ALL that matters, everything else can wait for the time being!

For the Saints to host the NFC Championship game, it will be against Atlanta, there are no other possibilities. That means the Saints would obviously need to beat Carolina, then they would play Minnesota. Atlanta would need to beat Los Angeles and then Philadelphia.

Its very possible we beat Car, go to and beat Philly, and host Atl who goes to L.A. and Minny and wins those games. Is this how it could play out or do i have the seeding wrong? I think Atl is weak but i believe the rams and eagles are crap. I think Minnesota would have more problems playing in the weather in their home stadium that Atl would.

No way the Falcons beat the Vikings. I will never ever want the Falcons to ever win a game. Those cry babies and cry baby owner need to lose to the Rams 28 - 3

You have the seeding mixed up. In the divisional round, the #1 seed gets the lowest remaining seed and #2 gets the one higher up. As the #6 seed the FailClowns are the absolutely lowest seed. So if they happen to take out the Lambs, then they would go to Philly. So the Saints will wake up Sunday morning knowing where they'll go after dispatching the Kitties.


Weather? Do you mean that being a Dome would be an advantage to the 'Clowns?

I'm not worried about too many of their players. Stopping Olson and Cam is the key to winning.
