Thoughts

Lattimore on Funchess, Williams on Olsen, Te'o spies Newton, Robertson spies McCaffrey /Stewart and put the rest (DBs) on who you want. I am a simple man.

Olsen may be able to use his size to keep Williams away from the ball on the underneath stuff. Like a power forward boxes out for rebounds.

I really don't think Olsen is fully recovered from the leg injury. He only had one catch on nine targets last week facing the Falcons.

Falcons have much better LBs than we do.

Re: Thoughts

As Guido stated, Olsen is still injured and it was pretty obvious last week.

To avoid big runs on 3rd down from Fig Newton, I'd take a page out of Wade Phillips playbook & use single coverage on their WR's & flank Teo/Robertson outside the offensive line.

Their passing "attack" doesn't scare me. Especially with Latt & Crawley playing well on those boundaries.

Unless we get a flag-happy ref crew.

It appears we will get the Tony Corrente crew in the dome.

Which is strange, because he absolutely blew up 2 weeks earlier against Green Bay

In the nickel/dime, you could almost afford to put Crawley on him and have PJ cover the #2 WR (insert name here)

He may have aggravated it the following week against Tampa Bay. He only had 3 catches in 6 targets for 27 yards in that game. That means he has had 4 catches for 37 yards on 15 targets over the past two games. That doesn't sound too scary to me.

Which according to another thread, we will. The crew we got has thrown the most flags on defensive pi and holding.

Olsen worries me. He is there X factor absent from the first 2 games. Ours is Lattimore.

Re: Thoughts

Make sure not to let Cam get outside for big gains and get the teams mojo going. Instead we'll make him run inside and take the hits which he doesn't like and nail him when he tucks the ball to run. He isn't a good pocket passer and our corners can cover. If we stop the running game and spy McCaffrey then we should be going deeper in the playoffs.

Olsen can kill you with those hard to defend third down catches.
