OMG... Saints sign another LSU Player
Saints sign wide receiver Paul Turner to reserve/future deal
The New Orleans Saints signed wide receiver Paul Turner to a reserve/future contract, according to Friday's NFL Transactions report. The 5-foot-10, 193-pound Turner, a native of West Monroe, La., entered the league in 2016 out of Louisiana Tech, prior to that at LSU, with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has appeared in four games (two starts), totaling nine catches for 126 yards. The Eagles released Turner in September as part of the roster moves to establish the initial 53-man roster for the 2017 season. Turner, who totaled 87 catches for 1,171 yards and seven touchdowns at Louisiana Tech, becomes the third player to sign a reserve/future deal with the Saints. read more |

Re: OMG... Saints sign another LSU Player
Yeah Paul Turner never really played for LSU before leaving for Louisiana Tech. And Ricky Jefferson was... A serviceable safety at times.
It's just like when the Saints signed Harry Coleman an undrafted free agent, and later the same with Travin Dural. This doesn't exactly make up for all of the stars that were available and missed. They don't mind taking a flyer on low rated free agents. (Insert "you can't just take a player because the fans want him" comments)... Yeah, I know. It's just that the rest of the NFL has figured out the little "secret" that LSU, for whatever reason, just puts out NFL ready talent more than any other school over the last decade, at least, even though their coaches somehow only manage to guide them to 9-4 records. |
