No matter what happens next week
It’s been a great season.
We went from a 3 time 7-9 team to a team that beat a divisional rival to make it to round two. We saw our defense make a huge rebound. We saw a historic running game We saw positive results from our draft IMMEDIATELY. We have been in just about every game we have played A good competitive team to the end. I feel like we found our passing game at the right time. Bring on Minnesota. Saints have a fighting chance. Oh yea and Brees isn’t done. A tight end or speed receiver and we are hanging 50. Little more help on D and we will be a SB team. |

And started the season 0-2 and then got the stuff together.

Re: No matter what happens next week
Very pleased, appears or seems for the first in a long time, our guys, including reserves are just better, tackling, blocking and I think it’s in part to our position coaches, new and old.....

Dude I feel like you waited until now to tell us how you really feel.

Re: No matter what happens next week
We have a punchers chance next week, but regardless it’s been a great season with a lot of fun moments.
Need to get faster on the front 7, must get a DT that can rush the passer. Offense needs a WR or TE that can be a threat for Brees. |
Re: No matter what happens next week
Vikings Case Keenum. He's no world beater under center.
Of course we have a chance. I stopped doubting this Saints team after week 8. Saints are a legitimate team capable of beating anyone. Any Given Sunday. |

well this post just jinxed us for sure!
Sounds like we are accepting a loss next week. lol. |
Re: No matter what happens next week
Lutz from 44 yards out for the win. ITS GOOD!
Saints win 23-21 and will host the NFC Championship against their divisional rival Atlanta Falcons. |

I am accepting a loss next week. Sounds bad but I fully expect us to lose. The Vikings are a much better team and our D is playing poorly over the last few weeks. Not to say we don’t have a chance at winning, but it’s going to take some balls bouncing our way. Our D line is awful outside of Jordan and our LBs are a complete liability in coverage. Also, not sure why Bush is getting the call at safety, he played a awful game and I would rather see banjo get playing time over him. Vonn Bell played poorly today as well. We just have so many holes on D with the injuries I don’t see us getting past good offenses. |
Re: No matter what happens next week
It'll be sweet to deny the Vikings - in their house, a pretty nice one at that!

Re: No matter what happens next week
I'm thrilled with how this season has gone so far but this is a great opportunity for the Saints that we need to take advantage of. If we can win next week it is very likely we'll be hosting the NFC championship game. Brees isn't getting any younger, gotta make the most of this run. Lets go into Minny and get a W! Who Dat!

Re: No matter what happens next week
Some of you guys need to do some push ups. We can beat this team.
Didn't the Vikes lose at home to the Kittens? ... a team we've beaten 3 times this season? I can assure you, a lot of Vikes probably didn't want to see the Saints part deaux in January. This isn't the same team who lost to them in week 1. MN is good on D however I don't believe in Case Keenum. I'll take my chances with a SB winning QB in Brees on Sunday. |
Re: No matter what happens next week
Most hated Minnesota Vikings. Arrrr. Second only to Atlanta for me.
I agree with dude but I really want us to win. |
Re: No matter what happens next week
Game one we had no Lattimore, no Crawley, no run game, and Kamara was a nobody. They also had Bradford. I said in another thread experience counts in the playoffs. Brees has it, Keenum doesn’t.
The Rams were averaging 30 plus a game. How good were Geoff and Gurley against Atlanta. I’m not scared. |

Next is the Vikings - ended our postseason run in 1987 and 2000. We ended theirs in 2009. We still owe them one more dose of heartache. Then we pay my 3rd least favorite team back for 1991 by pounding the dirty birds in the Dome. |
Re: No matter what happens next week
I was honestly more nervous about the Carolina game, it was going to be the hardest to win of the two I thought. I think we have a good chance of going in an beating them, but the Saints have to play balanced ball against that really good defense.
