Love our fans but the crowd cheered their ass off when Cam fell going to the sideline. We are better than that.

*** Cam...could care less. But unless you were there to know for sure, how do you not know they were not just still cheering from the play that caused that?

I heard mild applause when he got up and walked to the sideline.

Good enough for me.

What was that drama queen move anyway?

Re: Fans

Thing that pisses me off most is the concussion protocol thing. Another example of how the league will bend the rules when it suits them. They want to put all these protocols in place and scream at the top of their lungs how much they care about the players. They will pull players out for any small bump to the head but when it comes to a huge playoff game among division rivals and the ratings are up with the whole world watching it all goes out the window. How hypocritical.

Re: Fans

Were you there, Dude? TBH it is very hard to tell what the **** is going on in the Dome, especially from the terrace when people are standing up, jumping around, waving towels and they don't replay anything and just switch to the generic fleur-de-lis screen on the big screens. I've seen them play the Copeland's boat race commercial, during an injury timeout for an opposing player, while the dude was on the ground, so I guess you should call out Benson, Dome staff and the Saints management as well for that. Our fan base is one of the best in the NFL and has always been that way. Where you at the game today, or watching on TV? People were cheering because it was a stop , that's all.

Re: Fans

I agree, nobody wants to cheer for a player getting hurt, but, Cam may be the most hated player in our division. He calls that kind of hatred on himself. Had he been beating us, we would have been subjected to all of his usual rub-it-in-your-face antics.

Never good to applaud for an injured player, no doubt. But I must say Cam's antics on and off the field don't sit well with a lot of folks, especially
with Who Dats.

Re: Fans

They are talking about it across the networks this AM. I heard fans cheer. Enough cheered you could tell. I will say , they also cheered when he got up and walked off on his own. Didn’t sound like as many though.

He did that so the back up would have time to take a snap on the sideline. Otherwise the clock would have kept running and the backup would have to come in on the fly.

Sorry he is Prima Donna Scam artist that has no one to blame but himself and his constant “Look at Me” antics for his lack of respect ... it was all Drama ...If not Drama why did the team not put him in Concussion Protocol ... Scam going and coming a real Superman never gets knocked down.

Someone on the sideline must have told him to go down. Cam doesn't strike me as being smart enough to do that on his own...especially after Onyemata rang his bell like Quasimoto in the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Yeah, basically the entire staff on sideline was screaming get down as he was walking back.

They are reviewing weather or not the Panthers violated concussion protocol. Blamed it on visor but the funny thing is on the field he was holding one eye and on the sideline the other.

So fans weren't cheering the HUGE hit and momentum swing in the game??

TheOak 01-08-2018 04:15 PM

Re: Fans

Admittedly, I do cheer when we hurt another player. I think half of Houston heard me when Onye rocked Newton. Hurt is a feeling, and Newton felt that hit to the core of his uterus.

I do not however enjoy or celebrate seeing any player injured which is physical impairment preventing him from playing. It is a gladiator sport and blood, snot, and **** in Matt Ryans pants is a byproduct, but it's also those players livelihood.

I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume that what the camera was on and what the replay screens were showing at that moment were not the same thing. E.G. The camera is filming Newton going to a knee and getting back up but the fans are cheering the replay of him getting PEELAYED.

Re: Fans

Mehhhh. He was obviously not seriously injured. He had his bell rung. Yea. You can cheer that. If he was unconscious laying motionless or he blew out a knee, I believe the Dome would be silent. We respect Cam. He has a tendency to put it on us. In the Dome too. He got rocked on a legal hit. He got up, but he probablt had a nice headache. We owed him that.

Dang this is the second time I posted and then realized the post above mine said the same thing. I swear I didn't plagerize.
