There was no Lattimore, no Crawly, Kamara was a nobody, and they had Bradford. Experience counts. Brees has it, Keenum doesn’t.
We are a completely different team with an identity. If our receivers show up like they did today we win. They won’t shut down the run like Carolina either. I really think they **** the bed against us. |

Let's do this.

Re: Saints get chance at redemption in playoff return to Minnesota
They beat us in our first ever play off appearance ('87) at home. Again in the metro dome after our first ever playoff win ('00) but we beat them at home ('09) for the conferences championship...
2 of my 3 top most heartbreaking losses and my second favorite win in franchise history. The Vikings too, have their claim to underdog destiny so don't think they won't be fighting - and the metro dome (if they still call it that) will be rocking - they are like 9 time losers at this and their 12th man will be up for the task. |

The last 2 games alone in our Dome have been so loud, the noise in the Minn dome may not be that big of a factor for the Saints.

Find a way to stop that stud Theilen (sp), utilize Alvin in space & generate a consistent pass rush.
BTW, Cameron Jordan is my vote for Defensive Player of the Year. Dominating performance on Sunday in a playoff game. Bring it. |
Re: Saints get chance at redemption in playoff return to Minnesota
i still think payton was sandbagging kamara for the vikes game, we need him in space to get full frontal we used tight end for a change , hey thats in the back of vikes head now, snead may be brought into playbook this week ,
we gave them ginn jr in your face to worry bout, i'm telling yall payton goes bananas on repaying visit to Minnesota. |

This is one of the teams I really hated as a Saints fan as a kid; really want this win badly, in their house, deny them the first home game Superbowl...

Don't know that even more heavy nickel with CBs in man-to-man on Diggs (Crawley) and Thielen (Lattimore) wouldn't be the answer... |
Re: Saints get chance at redemption in playoff return to Minnesota
Like a lot of people do, I feel like this Saints team NOW is a completely different Saints team than the one we saw at the start of the season. That first Minnie game was a real head-scratcher, as far as Sean Payton-era games go. It just seemed confused and just didn't look right. In a way, that team in the opener looked more like last year's Saints, or the past three years. The unique and truly fun stuff didn't start happening until Kamara's coming out party in week three, and the defense didn't really come together "for real" until just before the bye week. Once we got past the shellacking by the Patriots in the first quarter of that game, it seems like that's when something clicked and the team sort of found its new identity. They were actually pretty good in the Patriots game, other than giving up 20 ridiculous points in the first quarter. This will be an interesting rematch.

Same thing in 2000 - we had just beat the "Greatest Show on Turf twice in a row... but Moss, could fly and proved he was the real "greatest show on turf." Major let down - but still we (at least I was stoked we had actually WON a play off game - like a huge monkey was off our backs. In '09 we were a 12 men on the field penalty away from loosing that game. And who could blame Farve, if his last throw of his storied career was an interception. In the post game interview the guy looked like Max Schmeling after Joe Lewis in '36. |
