Cam Newton's Sack

Was it an eye poke or a concussion?

This was AWESOME to watch.

Concussion - he screwed the system. We lost Kamara to less of a bell ringing in the ATL than he suffered today.

I poke in the eyeball doesn't drop you to the turf 3 yds from the sideline while jogging toward the sideline after the incident. That my friend was hit worthy of a full concussion protocol if there ever was one.

Doesn't that require a brain to begin with? :-D

I thought this thread was going to be about Cam's, uh... Manhood or something.

I have no doubts that he suffered a full blown concussion. One of the greatest technical inventions is HDTV, very easy to see the "Where the hell am I" look on his face...

They're getting investigated by the league, but I am sure nothing will be found. They're not us

Apparently he was supposed to be taken to locker room for evaluation and never was, violation

There is no way that was a poke. It was a concussion and just goes to show you why they hide the examination now and what the NFL is willing to do for advertising dollars. The players allow it so they need to shut up about the concussion thing when they know it's happening and winning is more important then having a brain or do they have a brain in the first place?

That’s his look when he’s conscious.

Just good that is was a clean hit, a penalty there could have
been a huge problem.

I like that he was already down, but decided to try and run again, only to get decked.

I didn't think he was concussed. I really felt like it was his eye, it looked like his helmet shifted as he rolled over. Granted it was a huge hit but that's just the way I saw it.

Go to YouTube.
Watch the hit in real time.
He got nailed head-on in the head by a full speed 300lb lineman. I'm sure his eyeball was affected when it hit the backside of his skull.

I watched it a few times, I'm probably wrong that was just my take.

The word is that his sideline was telling him to get down on the field so they could let the backup throw a few warm ups.

Carolina fans crying because some cheered when he was knocked out.
They don't know how loud and insane the dome was yesterday. Some cheering "who dat" are prolly drunk as skunk and not even watching the game. Tears.

His brain was poked all around the inside of his head, lmao

Re: Cam Newton's Sack

I think it was both a concussion and an eye poke. Funny thing is that he poked himself in the eye with his thumb while he was on the ground. When Onyemata was getting up after the sack, his foot accidentally hit Cam's hand which happened to be inside his helmet, and his own thumb poked him in the eye. Watch the replay. It's pretty clear.

He should have gone into concussion protocol. But they needed him to try and win...

Re: Cam Newton's Sack

Also he was holding one eye coming off the field and the other on the bench.
Did you see his post game interview. He was all dressed like a pimp. He seemed slow. He also insinuated many times that other players didn’t do their job. Basically throwing his team under the bus.

I said it in another thread. Just another example of the NFL bending the rules when it suits them. Make a huge deal about how much they care about players safety and remove players from games regularly and unnecessarily. Unless there is a close playoff game against division rivals with the whole world watching. Wouldn’t want to mess up the ratings.
Cam goes to the locker room and 1 million casual fans turn the channel.
Not to mention how big of a story they could make about division rivals that went to the Super Bowl 2 years in a row in the NFCCG if Carolina was to win.

No Worries it's actually called a brain poke, it's just like an eye poke really.
