Really, really bad numbers with our rushing game recently.

Good now Brees can get into rhythm. I think with he is like a running back who just needs to have the ball to get into the zone. That’s why he is so good at the 2 minute drill. All he needs is the wide receiver to actually hang onto the ball and he is unstoppable.
I think with him it’s better to run, run, run then pass pass pass pass as opposed to run pass ,run pass, run pass.
The offense is still balanced.

Going to be interesting to see what the Vikes do. I imagine they will not be giving up big plays like the Panthers and try to hold us to field goals or force a turnover in the RZ with Brees trying to force it as he often does.

A surprise like the on side kick in the SB kind of stuff.
Got to play with house money like Tampa did.
I can see him going for it on 4th and 10 from our own 5 yard line.

THat is the point!!! Let them focus on stopping our running attack and then Bree's pulls up for a strike down field. If you decide to stop Brees then we run on ya.

Its no secret what they have been trying to do since preseason. Saints committed to the run in preseason and that is the way to do it. You decide you are a running team and you DO IT. I don't care if we get 35 yards... you keep running.

I agree. This is going to be a tough one. If the Saints can't get that running game going, then it will be up to Brees. And let's be honest, we don't have 2 Michael Thomas'. Sure would be nice to have a Willie Snead to go along with him.

Just need to make quick adjustments based on defensive alignments. Last week kitties were playing 8 and 9 men in the box. No one is going to be successful running against that. It took 2 series but we adjusted. Just need to do the same thing but adjust after the first series or even during the first series.
