I am so wizzed that we won't have a chance to beat the Falcons.

You can vote for more than one.

For you people that wanted to play Philly instead of the Falcons in the NFC Championship, I just don't understand (assuming we beat the Vikings).

I'm so peeved the Falcons lost. Playing the Falcons in the NFC Championship would have been the best game you could ever ask to watch between the rivals. We stand a much better chance beating the Falcons in the dome than the Eagles in Philly.

Well in any case, if the Vikings beat us, we can certainly hope they lose their fifth Superbowl. :brood:

I could never pull for the Falcons, just like I can not root for NO to lose a game, even if it ups our draft pick choices and we're out of the playoff hunt anyways. It's just not in me. I get it with my head, but the heart is not willing.

Eagles are not going to the SB. It's us or the vikings so it does not matter. We control our destiny tomorrow.

If Atlanta won and we lost, that would have been painful. And as I said, not since 2008 has a 1 or 2 seed not made the NFCCG.

Nope not going to do it. Go Eagles.

The 6 seed made the NFCCG in 2010.

I got one thing for you folks to ponder...now you ready???

Who would you rather loose against..Craplanta..IN OUR OWN HOUSE...or Philly in Philly? Think on that for a moment..let it sink in..the possibility of what loosing at home to that team....now you get my point.

Hey..I am going with we are going to win tomorrow and now that the turds lost, it is irrelevant but I am not scared of Philly.

Do you know how jacked up they were for this game? Hearing all week how they can't beat Atlanta, they are underdogs in there own house...the first time ever that the home team coming off a bye was an underdog. IMO, they laid it all out there today. I don't think they can do it again next week. I like how this is playing out.

And played (and of course beat) the #2 seed Bears that year. Will is saying (and is correct) that a #3-5 seed has not hosted the NFCCG since 2008, when Arizona as a #4 hosted Philly as a #6.

But losing to them would be much much worse. Would leave a bad taste in my mouth all offseason. If we lose from here on out then I’ll just enjoy the season for what it was and be thankful we got more than expected

In order to win the whole thing, you have to beat the best. I doesn't matter who you lose to.

Imagine... beating Carolina in the Dome
Imagine... beating Minnesota in their stadium
Imagine... beating Atlanta in the Dome...
Imagine... winning the Superbowl against the Patriots and showing Atlanta how to do it.

Think of what all that would mean to Drew Brees and Sean Payton.

You turds are afraid of losing to Atlanta in the Dome?

You people are a bunch of....

Actually it didn't matter to me which team won. LOL :bng:

Re: I am so wizzed that we won't have a chance to beat the Falcons.

I would've loved to get the clowns at home. We beat them already, we're the better team. They barely escaped defeat in their own house with the assistance of the refs and the league office, that game is meaningless to me now. We would've wiped the floor with them if given the chance. That said, I'm not worried about Philly either, assuming we win tomorrow. One way or another the Vikings are our biggest remaining obstacle on the path to the super bowl.

I said 1 OR 2 seed, meaning each year since 2008 the NFCCG has consisted of at least a 1 or 2 seeded team.

That's not what Will said, nor is it what he meant. He just forgot about 2010.

Re: I am so wizzed that we won't have a chance to beat the Falcons.

If it mattered to me, I'd have wanted the Falcons to win for the Saints to host next week. Seems pretty straight forward. I never understood what makes people hate the Falcons more than other division rivals. I never could stand any of them. But I would want to be home, regardless of the opponent.

Well help me out. I quoted what he said. What do you think he meant? Of course he came back and reiterated what seemed like a straightforward assertion.

How about the fact that if Atlanta won, we could have lost? We're not a lock to beat Minnesota especially after Atlanta just lost to a less experienced team and a bad QB(they would have won at home or if the eagles were not off a bye). It's also never happened in history where a team played two division games in the playoffs. I don't think playing Atlanta was possible. It was either us at Philly or Atlanta at Minnesota.

We would be hosting the falcons or panthers this round in the playoffs off a bye had we beaten LA week 12(I know, we were 11-5 and two games out).

Yeah did quote what he said. And what he said is not what you say he did. He said that not since 2008 has there been a year where neither a 1 or 2 seed made the NFCCG. You said something entirely different. I'm not sure what you saw, but it's definitely not what I see.

They can lose to anybody. So what? And yes playing Atlanta was possible. 6 more points for the Falcons and a win for the Saints tomorrow and that would have been your matchup. It's not hard to imagine. I don't get why you are so dramatic.

The falcon fans are dreading a possible SB of us vs NE. Its their worst nightmare. I was just laughing at all their comments on their board.

I'm right there with you on this Mike. I would much rather lose to Philly in Philly than send atlanta to the superbowl from our house every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Especially if that happened and atlanta pulled off the miracle and won it all. That would have been a brutal pill to swallow.

Re: I am so wizzed that we won't have a chance to beat the Falcons.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have loved to beat the Falcons in the dome. My hatred of the Falcons outweighs that, I could never root for the Falcons. I never want the Falcons to win a Super Bowl, I never want the Falcons to get to another Super Bowl. It doesn't matter to me if we are the ones defending them from getting there or not. The Falcons are a good team that I hate quite a bit...and while I'm fairly confident in our abilities over the Falcons, sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way in a football game. The expression "Any Given Sunday" exists for a reason. As such I only want to play the Falcons in the playoffs if we are forced to play them. I'd prefer they go 0-16 every year. They were too close to a Super Bowl title this year for me to stomach.

If it was the Panthers or Bucs playing us, I'd just be like "Let's kick the **** out of them". I always want to Falcons in the toilet though.
