This alone makes me consider bringing Jimmy Graham back to New Orleans
While the Saints finished 5th in Red Zone scoring this year at 61%, (down 6% from 2016). In road games this season, we finished 57%.
There is a clear need for an upgrade at TE. We have a stud WR1 and Ginn is a solid #2. Would Graham at the right price be enough to put our red zone offense at the very top? Would he be worth having for 2-3 more years while Drew is here? https://www.profootballfocus.com/new...ng-free-agents Quote:

If he is willing to take the pay of a TE, then I'd be happy to see him back.

This would be a good signing at the right price. The Saints have not had a dominant TE since he was traded and maybe he's a bit more humble than when he left.

I'd rather draft one.

The relationship ended with a rancid stench. Not going to happen.

Be curious to know what Drew's thoughts are on this.

I like the team chemistry that we have. Jimmy left in a trade which apparently left hard feelings. I'm willing to look elsewhere for a fresher product.

Even if we could get him to take Fleener's salary slot would be great; and he'd have to stay healthy for a deep playoff run...

I think in 2018 Sean Payton will target "his guy" at TE similar to Alvin Kamara.

Nope, go younger, Graham is not the answer anymore.

Some can downplay or spin it anyway they like, but no way do I want to see this guy in a Panther, Green Bay (Rodgers & Graham is scary) or dirty bird uniform for 2018. Saints are in win NOW mode. Brees isn't 30 anymore. |
Re: This alone makes me consider bringing Jimmy Graham back to New Orleans
If the Saints want to re-sign Graham, make sure there is room on the roster FIRST!

We should have kept Ben Watson. Now he’s too old but he played with the ravens and did pretty well this year.
