Spotrac is saying we have 6 mill dead from the signing bonus, and one million freed. That is the basic cut contract, not an inj settlement.

If that's the case, we should have waited until June and saved $5 m and had
2 dead

This was the kind of thing that happened that was really upsetting. Nick played hard that season for us and really had a huge impact along the front. With our bakcend last year and improved LB play it would have been nice to see what Cam, Okafor,, Rankins, and Nick could have done together. I am glad this was caught before he ended up dead on the field etc

And I also hope that the Saints legal department can sort out the grievances rather quickly so we know before FA starts what the room to spend will be.

He turned things in his life around in New Orleans and really put the pressure on the opposing team. I wish him luck and I sincerely hope that we can fill his shoes this off season. I wish he were coming back healthy but his health is the important issue here. Not winning football games.
