AJ McCarron ... should we?
AJ McCarron on impending free agency: We’re open to everything – ProFootballTalk
Arbitrator finds Bengals improperly placed A.J. McCarron on NFI – ProFootballTalk Learn behind Brees for a couple of years? |
Re: AJ McCarron ... should we?
Anything would be an upgrade over Chase Daniels (although I have a theory that having him as your No. 2 is motivation for the offensive line not to let anything happen to Drew Brees)...
In fact, I'm still curious why we let Luke McCown out the door and not just heal up; but McCarron would be an interesting get into Payton's development... |

He’s been sitting behind someone for a couple of years. He’s going to go somewhere that gives him an immediate chance to start.

He's going to go to the Browns. They tried to trade for him last season and they have his coach there.

Re: AJ McCarron ... should we?
I don't have a problem with Chase like many do here. But AJ would be an interesting prospect behind Brees and possibly an eventual replacement (depending on how he develops and picks up the offense). Wouldn't mind seeing that happen.
But I'm sure he's going to go somewhere that'll give him a shot to start. That's not happening here for a couple more years. Maybe more. |
