Re: Ndamukong Suh Thread (MERGED)
Every one that is for signing suh, have you seen his stats the past 3 years? the money it would cost to sign him could be so much better spent. We have a de out there that played great before his injury. We could re-sign him for a quarter of the price and get more tackles/sacks. Save this money for depth. Saints don’t lack much now to be the front runner. Don’t waste 10-15 million a year on 43 tackles and 4 sacks!!!!!

No so let me help you out. NO and HELL NO!:D Saints like making penalties as it is so they do not need Ndamukong Suh taking cheap shots and his antics at 10, 15 yards a time OR MORE OR WORST. NO, |

You are right linemen on both sides shouldnt be aww shucks guys but mean and nasty bastards. Now granted suh get a lil carried away sometimes but its a adrenaline fueled sport. If he was as much trouble as some claim dan campbell and bushrod would of said steer from him. Also we have been missing the interior rush last year he brings that and the ability to take on double teams that free up other guys. |

Kind of like how I feel about it, but, on the other hand, the Saints have been missing that dominant inside tackle since like La'Roi Glover in the early 2000s. Its very hard to evaluate a DTs worth based on numbers alone, since it depends so much on the defensive scheme and what that player is asked to do within that scheme. Arguably some of the best 4-3 DTs of the past couple of decades may not have had the numbers stats-wise when it comes to tackles and sacks, but their performances have allowed other players on that defensive front to make plays that have elevated the respective worth of those players around them. I haven't really seen enough of footage of Suh playing since he left NFC North, so I don't how well Miami used him in their schemes, and if that has something to do with his stat numbers. I'm just tired of DTs that were supposedly difference makers, i.e. Jenkins, Ellis, Rogers, Franklin, etc., who ended up being just rotational guys at best or throwing away the potential of some of the players who have moved on from the roster like Johnson and Hicks. The decision shouldn't be between Okafor or Suh - or a DE and a DT - since those positions compliment each other. I would bet that the Saints would be more than fine with Hendrickson on the other side of the line if someone like Suh would line-up next to him. Also, Okafor leaving Tampa without a contract might suggest that he hasn't fully recovered from the injury, which to my knowledge is not the easiest type to comeback from anyways. Bottom line, if the F/O thinks Suh is the answer at that position, and they can make the financial side make sense - I'm all for it and actually welcome the bold move to improve the perennial weak spot of the defensive front. |

Titans in the mix now too
Think this is going to get expensive |
Re: Ndamukong Suh Thread (MERGED)
Was Ireland in Miami at any point while Suh was there? If so he can give the Front office some insight.
