There is nothing arbitrary or subjective about the system.
Sign better players than you lose and you will not get picks- it's simply an algorithm and nothing more. Teams that lost more than they signed are prioritized and picks are allotted accordingly until they are exhausted. same thing, every year... |

I'm looking at the Cowboys list from last season, and other than Justin Durant, I just don't get how there's anything but an arbitrary and subjective awarding of draft picks to the Cowboys...
The compensatory picks systems needs to go - in the world of the hard salary cap, television networks revenue sharing - there's no longer a need for compensatory picks other than for the league to strengthen certain teams... http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/20...free-agents-be |
