Was glad to see the Cardinals get some picks as it's usually Ozzie and the Ravens getting the NFL corporate welfare every year...
Didn't think the Cowboys and Packers should have gotten that many picks as the NFL secret committee put way too much value on the free agents they lost... Having the best salary cap in professional sports, it's time to expand the draft back to ten rounds and eliminate compensatory picks - teams should not be rewarded for doing a sh*tty job of drafting or not retaining players... |

How do New England get a compensatory pick after picking up Giselle, Burkhead, Cooks, Gilmore, and Lawerence Guy. They were the talk all offseason after beating the falcons that the rich is getting richer with all the offseason signning and they get a high compensatory pick for 4 guys and 3 of them they didn't even want back (Michael Floyd, Blount and Chris Long) the other they signed back (Martellius Bennet). Compensatory Picks system need to be fix or done away with. It's not fair that a team that show loyalty and sign their players get nothing and other teams that sign players during middle of the season just to let hem walk free after the season is rewarded extra picks

There is nothing arbitrary or subjective about the system.
Sign better players than you lose and you will not get picks- it's simply an algorithm and nothing more. Teams that lost more than they signed are prioritized and picks are allotted accordingly until they are exhausted. same thing, every year... |

I'm looking at the Cowboys list from last season, and other than Justin Durant, I just don't get how there's anything but an arbitrary and subjective awarding of draft picks to the Cowboys...
