If we get Meredith looks like we would have to give up a draft pick. Not getting that one. He was not drafted. I would not give up a draft pick for him. He was wide open on most of his catches.

I'm hoping we add a little more depth at OLB. I wouldn't mind one on the practice squad either. I hope we get 2 in the 5th myself. Let Nolan work some magic.

Saints signing Bears' Cameron Meredith to offer sheet

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source, the Saints are signing Bears restricted free-agent wideout Cameron Meredith to a two-year offer sheet worth $9.6 million plus incentives with $5.4 million in guarantees. Chicago has five days to match the contract, but will not receive compensation if it lets him walk.

I really hope Chicago doesn't match. If they do, I'd love to sign either Decker or Maclin if the price is right.

I guess only today and tomorrow to worry about the Bears matching Meredith. If they don't we won't draft a WR at least in the first 4 rounds. I would think we would draft a OG/C type player.

With the tender the Bears offered, $1.9mil for one (1) year, versus the Saints offer of nearly $10mil for two (2) years, not sure Bears are so inclined...

Bears want weapons for Mitch Trubiskey, expect them to look at Snead for a little less; Saints won't pull Snead's tender till Meredith's deal is closed Wednesday...
