Solving DE problem this year
 

Looking at DE position this year I have come to the conclusion that it would be difficult get a quality starter in free agency and we will be lucky to have a starter available at #27.
This year there seems to be several quality DT available in the draft and free agency . Signing a good free agent and drafting a another we could move Rankins to DE. A player like Sheldon Richardson or Wilkerson would give us flexibility to move guys around. This strategy would give us the best chance in this year's circumstance to improve our front seven and be more flexible in the draft

There isn’t much that we can do. Free agent market for DE’s is uninspiring. We could bring back Okafor, but will he even be ready to start the season? I’m starting to lean toward Sam Hubbard in the first round for this very reason.

He was only signed to a one year deal.

I hope that Okafor can come back and contribute but we still need someone to compliment Cam. Although if we get a dominant DT to replace Fairley then our players we drafted last year might still get the job done.
