Re: Grading Saints Off Season Moves
Triplett's a little harder on the Saints than I'd be at this point, and that's the problem with grading them now because at this point is too soon...
Now I might grade the individuals, but you don't draw an average of the individual signings until you see how it affects the draft, season... The priority to me in Free Agency was Tight End on offense and Safety, Nickel CB and Defensive Tackle on defense... At Tight End, I'd give the Saints a "C" because it was hard to lay off out-bidding Green Bay... If Jimmy Graham, the ideal signing, wanted to be here, he could have told his agent Jimmy Sexton to make it happen... Ben Watson (Wonderlic Score of 48 for those who care or to dispel any bullshinski about the test being racially biased) was an okay signing... On Defense, I thought Saints FO hit it out of the park with Robinson; but overpaid for Demario Davis... What we really need is pass pressure up the middle and Dontari Poe or now, Johnathan Hankins should've been signed already... Saints know this and that's why they made the push for Suh... Rankins is not the DT3 they envisioned and should admit that plan bust, try him at Defensive End where he was better... |

Re: Grading Saints Off Season Moves
Ratings are delusional. If you ranked all the teams by how much they got better, the Saints would at the very least be in the top 10. Also the fact that Minnesota gets an A is so hilariously bad.

Jordan Matthews, Robert Ayers and Hankins are still out there.

It's too early to say. I'll decide when training camp and preseason roll around. Okafor didn't look to be such an integral piece when we signed him.

Re: Grading Saints Off Season Moves
Cameron Meridith, that was one serious injury. Maybe? Depends on price. He's more of a Pryor, converted QB and same situation where he looked good because he was on a bad team always in garbage time mode.
