We can only bring 90 to camp....we have to start making decisions soon. Are try outs this weekend?

Re: Aaron Ernest ... should we?
"SKEETS" Averaged 17.5 yards per reception during his short career.
Brandon Cooks, Sammy Watkins, TY Hilton, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown averaged less than "Skeets" last season! In fact in all of the NFL only 2 WR averaged more than 17.5 yards. 17.5 yards per catch is 17.5 yards. |

Much respect for him. He could have done well as a pro runner. A lot of heart but man...long road for him even getting a look.

There's been some good ones that made it in the NFL. Bullet Bob, Willie Gault, Cliff Branch. |

From what I read, they implemented the 5 yard contact rule to balance out the speed problem. Once they did, much harder being a one trick pony running go routes. |

Bullet Bob Hayes is in the HOF, has a Super Bowl Ring, and in the Cowboys Ring of Honor. Gault had a pretty decent career with Da Bears & Raiders.

Re: Aaron Ernest ... should we?
I'll have to find it in the VHS cache, maybe SI's Crunch Course, one of those old 80s NFL videos has player interviews about Renaldo Nehemiah...
They show the play where the defense set him up for their safety (Bears?) to lay the wood on him straight up - would be called targeting today... Either way, they hit him so hard he took the pads off and quit after that... |
